Snapphanar is a 2006 Swedish, Danish, Lithuanian, Finnish and Norwegian co-produced adventure semi-historical TV miniseries. While the plot takes place in 17th century Sweden, only 10 percent of the show was actually filmed in Sweden, while other scenes were filmed in Lithuania (likely due to lower production costs), which likely influenced the choice of the weapons shown in the series.

Note: Snapphanar (or Snapphane) is the international name of the show, a word of Swedish origin that doesn't translate into English. It is a word used for Danish guerrillas that fought against Swedish rule in conquered provinces throughout the mid-17th century.
