Assassins
Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
The following guns were used in the movie Assassins
- This page is a mess, i'll do this movie when i get a chance this week. The Winchester
Beretta 92
During the graveyard scene a guard can be seen using a Beretta M92F.
Ruger Mk1 Integral Silencer
Both Robert Rath (Sylvester Stallone) and Miguel Bain (Antonio Banderas) Ruger Mk1's that have integral suppresors. They are .22 caliber pistols that were very popular with assassins, as they tend to rattle around inside peoples heads rather than go straight through and risk hitting non targets. Even though it only has a 10 round magazine, they seem to have those infamous bottomless Hollywood magazines that never run out.
Goncz GC
In the cemetary scene Miguel Bain (Antonio Banderas) uses a 9mm carbine, the Gonzc GC which is based on the Claridge Hi-Tec/Goncz GA series of weapons. It is fitted with a scope to take out the target at the funeral, and to kill some dumb police officers who apparently left the gun loaded, something real police officers would never do. This is the weapon he later uses in the cab.
(Note: This might be a Claridge LEC9. The sales brochures for the Gonzc never show their carbines outfitted with hat style of synthetic stock and the Claridges do. Outwardly they are nearly identical. Will check.)
MPM8
Walther PP
In the beginning of the movie, we see Robert Rath (Sylvester Stallone) taking out another assassin. He allows him to use his own weapon to kill himself. It is a suppressed Walther PP in either .32 or .380. Retrieved from "http://www.imfdb.org/index.php?title=Assassins"
Remington Model Seven with Integral Suppressor
The Sniper rifle used by Miguel Bain (Antonio Banderas) appears to be a Remington Model Seven compact tactical Rifle, with an Integral Suppressor, scope and thumb cut stock. This rifle differs from the classic Remington 700 action in that the receiver is shorter than a standard length and takes shorter but still powerful cartridges. It is designed to be a tactical bolt action rifle that is compact and can be easily fired from minimal cover. The 'sportsman' version is the Predator and CDL and is promoted as a rifle for 'thick cover hunting'.
The sniper rifle used by Banderas character is probably a modified Remington 700. Tanaka produces an air-soft take-down version of this.
The movie variant includes a thumb-cut stock, shortened barrel and integrated soundmoderator.
