One of Manga UK's early licenses, Mad Bull 34 is a four part OVA series from Magic Bus Studios that centers around two NYPD officers, John "Sleepy" Estes (a.k.a. Mad Bull) and his partner Daizaburo "Eddie" Ban, who work in the 34th Precinct. Mad Bull 34 has become infamous among English-speaking viewers for its over-the-top violence and sexual content, its "punched up" English dub (which features laughable uses of profanity and consists mostly of British actors faking New York accents) and its unflattering and inaccurate portrayal of both the NYPD and New York in general (Magic Bus thanks the 34th Precinct in the OVA's credits, though for what exactly is never specified).
The following weapons were used in the OVA Mad Bull 34:
Both "Mad Bull" as well as various criminals in the series use M1911A1 pistols.
Smith & Wesson Model 19
Daizaburo's service weapon is the Smith & Wesson Model 19. Another Model 19 is seen in the hands of a pair of rapists at the beginning of the first episode. Several other police officers are seen with Model 19s in episode 4.
Several women are seen shooting Remington 1866 Derringer pistols at the "Ladies' Derringer Shooting Range". "Mad Bull" appears to have obtained two of these pistols.
Smith & Wesson 5904
The drug dealer at the beginning of episode 2 uses a Smith & Wesson 5904 pistol.
Smith & Wesson 439
The majority of the Gouda Cartel members carry Smith & Wesson 439 pistols.
During Lieutenant Valley's flashback, Don Enrico is seen with a Beretta 84B.
Norinco Type 54
The Chinese assassins in episode 3 usually use what appear to be Norinco Type 54 pistols.
Submachine Guns
IMI Uzi
A gang of serial rapists in episode 1 all carry IMI Uzi submachine guns under their jackets.
Jatimatic SMG
Don Enrico's henchmen carry Jatimatic SMGs with 20-round magazines.
M1928 Thompson
Maury Edward's henchmen all use M1928 Thompson submachine guns.
M1A1 Thompson
During Lieutenant Valley's flashback, members of the Don Enrico's thugs are seen using M1A1 Thompson submachine guns. A group of S.W.A.T. officers in episode 4 are also armed with M1 Thompsons.
Shotguns
Ithaca 37
"Mad Bull" keeps an Ithaca 37 shotgun in his patrol car, which he occasionally uses to pulp the skulls of various hooligans, much to the consternation of his partner. The weapon is erroneously depicted as having a side ejection port.
Mossberg 500AT
Lieutenant Valley is seen using a short-barreled Mossberg 500AT during a flashback.
Machine Guns
Browning M1919
An Browning M1919 machine gun is seen mounted inside an APC is episode 3.
Rocket Launchers
M202A2 FLASH
One of the Chinese assassins in episode 3 uses an M202A2 FLASH. Given the boxy appearance, it is likely this was referenced from the fake launcher from Commando rather than a real weapon.
During the ambush against Capricorn, one S.W.A.T. officer is armed with a RPG-7. Why a New York police officer would be using a Russian rocket launcher is anyone's guess.
Carl Gustav M2
The NYPD ESU is seen using four Carl Gustav M2 recoilless rifles. Not the most realistic loadout for a S.W.A.T. team.
Other
Mk 2 hand grenade
When the shootout in episode 2 starts to go downhill, "Mad Bull" rips off his pants, revealing he has, for reasons best known to himself, tied Mk 2 hand grenades to his pubic hairs.
