Soldiers of Fortune Christian Slater as a former special forces soldier who is hired by an adventure company to escort a group of wealthy men into a real war zone while keeping them safe. The movie was filmed primarily in the Ukraine and the cast includes James Cromwell , Dominic Monaghan , Sean Bean , and Ving Rhames . The film had a very limited theatrical run in the US before being released on video.

Machine Guns PK A heavily-customized PK machine gun is the main firearm wielded by Grimaud (Ving Rhames ). This particular machine gun has been fitted with a mock MG42 -type barrel above the real barrel to fit a scope and M16-type carry handle on a rail. Unmodified PKs are also seen in the film. The machine guns used in the film are original PKs rather than the later PKMs , as noted by their fluted rear barrels and larger curved gas blocks.
