His Majesty's Secret Service (Sekretnaya sluzhba Ego Velichestva) is a Russian 2006 adventure TV series. The plot is set in Russia in 1903-1905. Sergey Viktorovich Izvekov (Yuriy Tarasov), a Moscow student whose bride was injured during an act of terror by revolutionaries, is invited to join the secret service that is established to prevent and combat terror in Russian Empire. Izvekov works together with a veteran detective Prokhor Kuzmich Kulebyako (Yuriy Itskov).

Nagant M1895 revolvers are most widely used handguns in the series. They are seen in hands of the head of secret service Admiral Konstantin Romanovich Saburov (Sergey Lysov), the head of Moscow department Baron Gustav Karlovich Schlegel (Valeriy Kukhareshin), agents of the secret service "Kosoy" (Filipp Velichko), "Shpora" ("Spur") (Egor Bakulin) and several unnamed, revolutionaries Ivan Nikolaevich Azef (Aleksey Karelin), Valet (Pavel Basov), Mariya Surdina (Maya Motryuk), Marcello (Igor Botvin), Stepan (Vladimir Maslakov), Syoma (Aleksey Oding), Katerina (Tara Amirkhanova) and others, and criminal "Pyatnitsa" ("Friday") (Andrey Rodimov). All revolvers are of post-1930 version.
In "Morozov's Pistol" Pristav (head of local police) Platon Aristarkhovich (Pavel Yudakov) holds a blank firing version of Nagant, identified by the closeup of the muzzle. It is most likely one of numerous similar-looking gas-firing models, like R1 Naganych.
Prokhor Kuzmich Kulebyako (Yuriy Itskov), a veteran of Moscow crime police and currently an operative of the secret service, carries a Galand Revolver throughout the series. Russian contract Galand revolver in 12x14mmR calibre was put into service in Russian Navy in 1869 as "4 1/2-line Galyan revolver" and served until 1881, so it is an outdated gun for early 1900s. As the series was filmed on the base of Lenfilm studio, this particular Galand may be the same prop that was seen in several Lenfilm productions, like Sobaka Baskerviley (1981).
An FN Model 1900, one of the most modern handguns for 1903, is a personnal handgun of Sergey Viktorovich Izvekov (Yuriy Tarasov), an operative of the secret service and the main character of the series.
The head of the Moscow department of the secret service Baron Gustav Karlovich Schlegel (Valeriy Kukhareshin) is seen with a Mauser C96 pistol in several episodes. This gun is a "Wartime Commercial" model that appeared only after 1912 and doesn't fit for 1903-1905. In "The Red Mask" a robber nicknamed "Pyatnitsa" ("Friday") (Andrey Rodimov) uses a C96.
CZ DUO pocket pistol (most likely a post-war version known as CZ Z) is a plot item in "Morozov's Pistol". It is called "Browning" though it's too early for Model 1905 that the DUO is based on. This gun has custom grips with the monogramm of Savva Morozov, Russian textiles magnate, philanthropist and financial contributor of the Bolshevik party. In 1905 he died in France, officially as a result of a suicide, thought murder theories also exist.
Several Flintlock Pistols are seen on the wall in the office of the Moscow department of the secret service, acting under the cover of a fencing club. Most if not all of these pistols seem to be non-firing decorative "wall-hangers", possibly Denix production.
Mosin Nagant M1891 Infantry rifles are used by Russian Army soldiers, police personnel, agent of secret service "Shpora" ("Spur") (Egor Bakulin), bandit "Kucheryavuy" ("Curly") (Aleksandr Kabanov), and revolutionaries. Most rifles have sling slots, Konovalov type rear sights and steel crossbolts; these features were issued in 1908-1910, after the events of the series.
Mauser short rifles are seen in hands of guards in the palace of the Emir of Bukhara in "Painter Vereshchagin". They resemble Karabiner 98k but as parade hook is seen on a closeup, the rifle turns out to be a Mauser Standard Modell. In any case, such rifles doesn't fit for early 1900s. The correct rifle for the army of the Emirate of Bukhara was Berdan No.2.
Lyuba (Alina Van Orton) holds a Berdan shotgun in "The Wolves". The gun looks very similar to the one used in another Lenfilm production, Dauria (1972).
Drawings of several revolvers are seen on the wall of the secret service office in "Morozov's Pistol". The drawings are taken from the well known book "Firearms" by Aleksandr Borisovich Zhuk.
