Lupin III: The Fuma Conspiracy is a 1987 original video animation (OVA) film directed by Masayuki Ōzeki, and the first OVA in the Lupin III anime adaptation. Because of its lower-budget production, it is the only Lupin III media where the original VA cast and composer - although available - were not featured. This unfortunately put a rift in the friendship of Yasuo Yamada (the usual VA for Lupin until 1995) and Monkey Punch, the creator of Lupin III.
The plot revolves around the kidnapping of Ishikawa Goemon XIII's fiancée by the Fuma ninja clan in return for a valuable urn heirloom that discloses the hidden location of a vast and forgotten treasure. Lupin and the gang assist Goemon in not only returning his bride-to-be Murasaki back safely, but also taking the treasure for themselves!
