Colt 3-5-7-

File:Colt357D.jpg
Original Colt 3-5-7 revolver. Produced from 1953-1961. Approximately 15,000 made. Originally intended to be the high-end counterpart to the more economical Trooper (.38 Special and .22 Long Rifle), but Colt brought out the Python in 1955 leaving the 3-5-7 as the odd-man out. In 1961 Colt stopped making the 3-5-7 and added the .357 Magnum to the Trooper's list of calibers. The 3-5-7 received the same level of hand fitting that the Python received.

Lawman 2" snubbie

During the first couple years of the Mk III production the Lawman snubbie was made with an exposed ejector rod. Approximately 1976 Colt redesigned the frame and added a lug to protect the rod. --Jcordell 20:36, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Slightly disreputable example of a DAO conversion, but neat.

The Colt Boa is one of Colt's seven snake guns, alongside the Python, Diamondback, Cobra, Anaconda, King Cobra, and Viper. Though it resembled a Python externally, it is essentially a Colt Trooper MK V frame paired with a Colt Python barrel and then given the royal blue Python finish. While the Boa was manufactured custom to order by Colt under contract for Lew Horton Distributors in Massachusetts as a special edition in 1985, it was never listed in a Colt price sheet or catalog. Only 1,200 were manufactured with consecutive serial numbers by barrel length and then sold in sets, 600 in 4" and 600 in 6", of which 100 were matched sets.
