Drive Angry is a 2011 American "grindhouse"-style action film that stars Nicolas Cage as a man who escapes from Hell in order to save his kidnapped infant granddaughter from a cult leader that also murdered his daughter. The film was released in 3D and co-stars Amber Heard, Billy Burke, William Fichtner, and David Morse.
The following weapons were used in the film Drive Angry:
John Milton (Nicolas Cage) carries a Colt M1911A1 pistol as his sidearm throughout the film. Piper (Amber Heard) also holds this gun on a couple of occasions. Judging from the typical dark grey finish, old safety lever and linear barrel, the gun is a genuine M1911A1 Army model, not a more common Series 70 often used to impersonate the gun. Milton's original handgun was supposedly going to be a .357 Magnum revolver. After the "God Killer" was made, Milton's sidearm was changed to a Colt M1911A1, to be less similar. The gun has two visible jam, exactly when Piper shoots the police officer and then when Milton reloads after shooting a cultist woman driving a pick-up truck.
Colt Gold Cup National Match
Tattooed Guy (Michael Papajohn) holds a stainless Colt Gold Cup National Match during the church scene. The pistol has the unusual combination of a skeleton hammer with standard grip safety, meaning that it is either an Enhanced with the "Duckbill" grip safety replaced, or a standard model with the spurred hammer replaced.
SIG-Sauer P226
The SIG-Sauer P226 is held by state troopers during the roadblock scene. Trooper/cultist Katsura (Edrick Browne) also wields this pistol during the climax shootout.
Glock 17
A Glock 17 with a stainless slide is used by one of Jonah King's (Billy Burke) cultists.
Glock 19
Colorado police officers carry Glock 19s as their sidearms. One is also seen in the hands of a cultist during the church scene.
Flashpaper 1911 (Continuity error)
As one of Colorado police officers gets shot by Piper (Amber Heard) during the motel shootout, his Glock 19 briefly turns into a Flashpaper (or 'Non Gun') 1911. "Non Guns" are a brand name of electronically-operated prop weapons made by ISS (Independent Studio Services). They are safer than real-steel counterparts, and they often substitute them i.e. when blanks are not necessary.
IMI Desert Eagle
During the car chase after the church shootout, a cultist woman is seen firing a Desert Eagle at Milton's 1969 Dodge Charger.
Two cultists are seen wielding Colt Python revolvers during the church scene. A naked cultist woman also fires a Colt Python at Milton's Chevelle SS during the climax shootout, but is quickly taken down by Milton.
Thin Old Man (Henry Kingi) is seen holding a Smith & Wesson Model 629 "Performance Center" revolver fitted with a huge scope during the church scene. Later he gives it to a cultist woman, who uses it during the ensuing car chase.
Ruger GP100
A cultist pulls out a stainless Ruger GP100 during the climax shootout, and points it at The Accountant (William Fichtner).
Rifles
Colt M16A4
The Colt M16A4 is used by several state troopers as well as Cap (Tom Atkins) during the roadblock scene.
Remington Model 700
One of the cultists uses a scoped Remington Model 700 rifle during the climax shootout.
Shotguns
Remington 870
John Milton (Nicolas Cage) carries a custom Remington 870 shotgun throughout the film, and uses it on multiple occasions. The gun is customized with a rear pistol grip, a leather strap on the foregrip, a custom Royal Arms 12 point breaching muzzle and a side shell holder. A cultist is also seen with a regular Remington 870 shotgun during the church scene. Some state troopers are also seen with regular Remington 870s at the roadblock.
A Saiga-12 shotgun is briefly used by Jonah King (Billy Burke) during the final shootout, with a shortened barrel, buttstock removed, and a 20-round drum magazine. This appears to be the exact same custom Saiga-12 from Gamer and The Expendables.
Mossberg 590
A cultist is seen firing a Mossberg 590 during the climax shootout.
High Standard K-1200
During the climax shootout, one of the cultists wields a shotgun that resembles a High Standard K-1200, but gets run over by Milton.
Others
The "God Killer"
John Milton (Nicolas Cage) uses a custom made pepperbox-type gun identified in the film as the "God Killer". He presumably stole this gun from Hell. The weapon has the power to completely destroy one's soul and The Accountant (William Fichtner) is seen wounded by it. Piper (Amber Heard) also uses this gun during the climax shootout.
