Foxhole (VG)
Foxhole
Foxhole is a Third-Person overhead shooter developed by Clapfoot Studios with heavy emphasis on Real-Time Strategy and player cohesion. The game is set in a fictional WW2 style setting where two factions, the Colonials and the Wardens, are fighting over a greatly desired sea trade route and the surrounding territory, and have been in conflict for over 100 years.
A fair warning, many of these do not have good close up screenshots of in-game usage due to the nature of the perspective the game has. While there are bugs to get around this, not all weapons are readily available to screen cap, if you happen to have some good in game screen shots of weapons close up or clearly seen otherwise, don't hesitate to add one. As for now, the in-game models in photos and dev releases will have to do.
Rifles
M1 Garand
The standard rifle used by infantry in-game, known simply as the "Rifle". Oddly, the description states it's a bolt-action, which the animations reflect. Almost as if treating it as a straight-pull bolt-action.
M1 Carbine / M1903 Air Service
A weapon sporting a high rate of semi-automatic fire while maintaining good precision for longer ranges, and is the lightest primary weapon in the game. It takes on the look of an M1 Carbine, with differences here and there such as the sights being extremely simple, no trigger guard, a bayonet lug, and giant single stack magazine which seems to take full length rifle cartridges. The magazine loosely resembles an M1903 Air Service with the general size and shape.
Submachine Guns
MP40 / Zastava M56 Hybrid
A lightweight SMG with a relatively high rate of fire and is inaccurate at ranged distances. The general profile gives off the impression of an MP40, while the subtler details such as magazine distance from the grip and the magazine itself resemble the M56 Sub Machine Gun.
Machine Guns
Browning M2
A huge weapon designed to inflict large materiel damage and kill effectively. It seems modified for man portable use, noted by large chainsaw like grip at the front of the receiver, but is still quite heavy. It heavily encumbers the player and can only be fired from a crouching or prone position. The infantry model is equipped with a large tripod while the vehicle version is sturdily mounted on the top of the Half-Track.
Hybrid Light Machine Gun "Storm Rifle"
Called the "Storm Rifle", this is probably the most amalgamated weapon in the game's arsenal. It takes its general appearance, ammunition caliber, and left side feeding mechanism from the FG-42, yet mimics the magazine well and barrel assembly minus the heat shield from the Johnson M1941 Machine Gun. Its front sight seems to take cues from the SMLEs and the reciever looks like one from an STG-44/MP-44. Bizarrely, the stock seems to combine an original wood AK-47 and STG-44 stock together, breaking slightly from the Interwar to WWII time period. The design was intentionally so, as stated by the developers, and still creates arguments among gun-enthusiast players.
Shotguns
Winchester Model 1912
The standard combat shotgun, equipped with an extremely short barrel and wrapping on the stock and grip for extra gripping of the weapon. It seems to follow the general frame of an Winchester Riot Model but features an ejection port on the left side and alarmingly no trigger in sight.
Pistols
FN Mle. 1903 / M1911
The standard side arm of both sides and the firearm the player spawns with. The icon appears to be an FN 1903 by the frame and lack of an exposed hammer and it uses 9mm, but the model appears to be an M1911 with a greatly exaggerated barrel. It sports checkered wood grips and matte nickle finish.
Taurus Model 44
The other handgun acquired in game is a large .44 revolver which sports high accuracy and damage but becomes way less accurate if shots are too consecutive. It appears to be based on the Taurus Model 44, with it's .44 caliber cartridge and general shape. It interestingly sports what seems to be a polymer grip, uncommon for a weapon in the WW1/Interwar/WW2 era the game bases its aesthetics from.
Grenades
Mk.II Frag Grenade.
A simple grenade titled "Frag Grenade".
RPG-43 Anti-Tank Grenade
Serves as the "High Explosive Grenade". Like it's real life counter-part, it is effective against vehicles and fortifications.
M18 Smoke Grenade
Titled "Smoke Grenade", it is a simple grenade that emits a large cloud of white smoke that obscures players and fortifications on both sides.
Mk. V Gas Grenade
Called "Green Ash", it is a Mk. V grenade painted in a lima bean green color that emits a cloud of poison gas that quickly kills any player not wearing a gas mask.
Rocket Launchers
M20 "Super Bazooka"
Simply called the "RPG", it is portrayed as a large, heavy, and slow weapon. It heavily encumbers the player and takes time to change aim. It is however devastating against vehicles as it rightfully should, firing a large bazooka type rocket. Note the single grip and the size and shape.
