Wind River
|
Wind River is a 2017 contemporary western crime film/thriller set in and around the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. After he finds a dead Native American girl in the snow, Fish and Wildlife Agent Cory Lambert (Jeremy Renner) joins forces with FBI Special Agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen) and Tribal Police Chief Ben (Graham Greene) to find the killer. Wind River is only the second film directed by Taylor Sheridan, the actor/screenwriter who recently gained acclaim for his screenplays to the films Sicario and Hell or High Water.

The Glock 17 is used by several characters, most notably Agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen), as well as several other police officers.

Ben (Graham Greene), the Indian Reservation Police Chief, carries a stainless steel Smith & Wesson SW1911 E-Series with an accessory rail.
Heckler & Koch USP
The main sidearm for the Oil Rig Guards all appear to be Heckler & Koch USP handguns.
Ruger Super Blackhawk
Agent Lambert (Jeremy Renner) carries a stainless steel Ruger Super Blackhawk Revolver with a 4 5/8-inch barrel, adjustible rear sight, fluted cylinder and wood grips. (Possibly chambered for .44 Magnum or .45 Colt.)

Mossberg 590 Mariner
An oil rig guard (Mason Davis) carries a Mossberg 590 Mariner shotgun during the Mexican Standoff and ensuing gunfight
Benelli M4
Oil rig guard Pete (James Jordan) uses a Benelli M4 during the final gunfight.
Rifles
Remington Model 700
Corey Lambert (Jeremy Renner) uses what may be a Remington Model 700 of some sort in his first scene. The rifle is fitted with a telescopic sight and is covered in white camouflage wrapping, hindering identification.
Marlin Model 1895SBL
Cory Lambert (Jeremy Renner) carries a scoped Marlin Model 1895SBL, which he uses to devastating effect in the climactic gunfight. Earlier in the film Lambert is seen loading his own ammunition for this rifle, and according to his digital loading scale, he appears to be using 500gr bullets hence the devastating effect. While Lambert is depicted as working for U.S. Fish & Wildlife, Animal Damage Control was moved to the Department of Agriculture in 1985.
