Sgt. Bilko is a 1996 military comedy directed by Jonathan Lynn and starring Steve Martin as Master Sergeant Ernest G. Bilko, head of the Motor Pool at the Fort Baxter US Army base and the leader of a band of misfit soldiers. The movie is based on The Phil Silvers Show, from which it takes its setting, back plot and characters.
