The King's Choice is a 2016 Norwegian war drama directed by Erik Poppe that tells the events of the German invasion of Norway in April 1940. The king Haakon VII (Jesper Christensen) and his family are forced to escape after he refused the German ultimatum for capitulation. Meanwhile, the German diplomat Kurt Bräuer (Karl Markovics) tries to rescue the King. A race against time between mediation and warfare begins. The 2015 movie April 9th describes the events of the Danish occupation.

28 cm Krupp Coastal Gun

The Oscarsborg Fortress is armed with 28 cm Krupp Coastal Guns. The guns seen in the movie are genuine. Two of these guns, with personal names Moses and Aron, heavily contributed in sinking the Kriegsmarine heavy cruiser Blücher on April 9, 1940.
