House of Cards is a 2013 Netflix original series that stars Kevin Spacey as Frank Underwood, an ambitious US Congressman who is willing to go to any length to climb the ladder in Washington. He is accompanied by his wife Claire (Robin Wright), who has ambitions of her own. Throughout the series, Underwood breaks the "fourth wall" and talks to the audience about his motivations. House of Cards was adapted from the BBC miniseries of the same name and premiered on Netflix in 2013 as the very first original series for the streaming website. The adaptation is being executive produced by David Fincher.
