Note how there is more steel between the cylinder release latch and the edge of the frame on the Model 58 as compared to the Model 10.

Hi JC, good comment, you are totally right. Two other arguments in favor of the S&W Model 10: (1) the relative position of the front part of the ejector rod as opposed to the front sight, and (2) the design of the part of the frame in front of the cylinder holding the ejector rod. - PeeWee055 (talk) 14:45, 20 August 2016 (EDT)
