Ruger Vaquero
Sheriff Hoyt (R. Lee Ermey) carries a Ruger Vaquero as his duty sidearm throughout the film. He uses this weapon to persuade the kids to remain on the ground while he questions Morgan about the suicide. The firearm is anachronistic as the Ruger Vaquero was not produced until 1980.
Smith & Wesson Model 19
The Hitchhiker (Lauren German) is seen using a snub nose Smith & Wesson Model 19 to off herself. The weapon is then used by Sheriff Hoyt and Morgan to demonstrate the hitchhiker's suicide. Sheriff Hoyt then fires the weapon at Erin's getaway car before she runs him over.
