Blackthorn is a 2011 Western directed by Mateo Gil. Set in Bolivia in 1927 (20 years after the famous shootout depicted in the 1968 film), the story focuses on an older Butch Cassidy (Sam Shepard) who's now living a quiet life as James Blackthorn.

Many characters throughout the film carry the Winchester Model 1892.

In a flashback to 1900, Etta Place is seen armed with a Winchester Model 1866.
Remington Rolling Block Short Rifle
Argentinian soldiers are seen armed with Remington Rolling Block Short Rifles.
vz. 24
Bolivian soldiers are seen armed with vz. 24 rifles. Anachronistic as they were issued in 1932 and the film is set in 1927.
