You're missing a lot of weapons. Unfortunatly, i can't take any screengrabs.

Let me list the weapons for a person who can take screen grabs:

  • Heckler & Koch MP7A1
  • Heckler & Koch P2000
  • Heckler & Koch MP5A3
  • Heckler & Koch USP
  • Heckler & Koch G36C
  • Heckler & Koch 416
  • Sig P220R

There are so many H&K weapons, but that's only a good thing.

Also, the unknown pistol is a Beretta PX4 Storm. Bruce Willis takes the gun and uses it in the second half of the movie.

...

Somebody who knows the names of these guns? They might be already on the page; I have no idea about that... :$

The top one looks like a Beretta, most likely a Beretta M92FS. Orca1 9904 21:25, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
I believe the bottom one is a variant of the H&K USP, most likely a USP Compact. Orca1 9904 21:25, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

McClane never uses a SIG P226R or Glock 21SF in the movie. From the beginning into the time he fights with Asian girl in power planet he's carrying the SIG P220R a single stack .45ACP

==============================================================

anyone know which guns were used in the following scenes:

1 - the early scene where the bad guy sniper was on the opposite rooftop from Matt's apartment, when McClane first shows up to pick him up, the long barreled fully automatic silenced sniper (?) rifle he used to try and kill Matt (and McClane) in the apartment.. (could that be the Heckler & Koch MP7A1?)

2 - the bad guy shooter in the helicopter, who was trying to shoot McClane and Matt in the cop car, the fully automatic gun he was using (same gun as #1??)

thanks!

Goofs?

Anyone else notice that he fired off, what, how many magazines in Farrells house before running out of ammo, like ten, or what?

I believe it was four mags, instead of 3 since he would have two in the pouch and one in the gun, so that was a mistake. What is more notable is how he fires close to 20 shots from each mag despite them only holding 7 shots each. Anyone notice how in the first film he managed to keep his Beretta loaded all the way to the end and here he wastes all his ammo in one firefight? Last thing. In the theatrical edition he tells Farrell he destroyed the helicopter with the car because he was out of bullets but he tells Matt he has mags in the glove compartment when they leave his apartment. In the unrated version, they changed what he said and this error went away. Anyone feel free to delete this, perhaps after a few people read it first. I'm just listing the goofs I noticed. Also feel free to add this to the discussion page if wanted. -GM45
      • It could of been the 9mm p226 which holds 20 rounds per magazine.***
A P226 holds 15 shots, not 20. And it has been confirmed as a P220 by the armorer of the film.

Can't a person get a 20 round mag for a 226? Also, wouldn't a 220 have to be his off duty weapon? The NYPD only allows 9mm and 38's.

I'd imagine they could, if one made such a magazine for that gun. And as for what the NYPD allows, real life =/= this movie. The gun's been long confirmed to be a P220R. So, in the Die Hard universe, that's what he was issued or allowed to carry. --Clutch 20:19, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Who did it first - Die Hard or Lethal Weapon?

Not to say that you're wrong, but wouldn't the Lethal Weapon movies be just as much of an influence on the guns popularity in the US? I mean, Lethal Weapon came out a year before Die Hard and Mel Gibson and Danny Glover talk specifically about the the Beretta in the beginning. "9mm Beretta, 16 in the mag, one in the pipe,..."Danny Glover.

I think both movies were equally influential in increasing the popularity of the 92FS. But, from my experience at least, Die Hard was the movie that made me want a 92FS from the age of 8 until I got one at 26.

OK, have at it. --Clutch 05:25, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Interesting. Why lock the site so no one can edit. Afraid someone might mess up your little online world?

Nope, it's to keep some people (like you, potentially) who don't register from vandalizing pages with such wonderful things as racism and other BS. If you want to edit, you're perfectly welcome to register, and - provided you know what you're talking about - edit at your own leisure. Otherwise, as Richard Marcinko would so elegantly put it, "S2". --Clutch 19:09, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Exactly. When a page gets vandalized a lot (as this one has been), we tend to lock it so that anonymous users can't mess with it any more. As far as "messing up [our] own little online world", those of us who do make these pages tend to put a lot of time and effort into them. So yes, of course we don't appreciate people vandalizing our work. -MT2008 19:16, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

So, by posting something questioning what you wrote is "vandalizing"? I understand that you guys put a lot of time into these pages. I don't, because I have a life. I only checked this because I finally got around to seeing the movie.

No, if you ask it in the form of a question. When you willfully change known information to false BS (for example), then the page gets locked, because frankly, we don't like having to change it back R-E-P-E-A-T-E-D-L-Y. By the way, if the conversation above your little complaint belongs to you, then I moved it simply because it was breaking up the flow of the article. This occurred before someone altered information in the article to read falsely several times and the decision to lock it was made. Again, you want to edit a locked article, join and if you know what you're talking about, have at it. --Clutch 20:16, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Fair enough.

Listen, Anonymous User, did I say that you were the one who vandalized the page? No, I do not believe I did, so stop being a smartass. Other people, however, have repeatedly vandalized this page by inserting gibberish, snide remarks, or purposefully changing correct info to incorrect info. So, for now, this page has been locked so that only registered users can edit it. Doing this for any page tends to reduce vandalism, because vandals are generally anonymous users. I wish we did not have to do this, but sometimes, it is necessary.
If you want to insult any of us, including myself, about not "having a life", then maybe you shouldn't be on here. You're starting to sound like a creep. -MT2008 20:36, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey, Mr. "I have the guts to call everyone on this site a bunch of spineless nerds", keep your stinkin' insults to yourself. Got it buddy? - Swordfish941
Hey MT2008, can you explian how we can edit lock pages? - Swordfish941
