Gladiator for Rent (Gladiator po naymu; Russian: Гладиатор по найму) is a 1993 Belarusian-Ukrainian detective. Based on the novel "The Case of the Velvet Claws" by Erle Stanley Gardner. The owner of the private detective agency Ilya Mirsky receives a tempting offer from the wife of media mogul Yeva Lukachyova (as Yeva Adamovich). He should not allow leak of compromising, which would deprive Yeva multimillion-dollar inheritance. Holding this thing, Ilya can hardly imagine that he would have to face a whole series of sophisticated murder, and that the result would be in the danger of his own life.

P1001

Guriy Lukachyov (Nikolai Yeryomenko, Sr.) has P1001 pistol, the East German copy of Walther PP. The same gun subsequently uses by Yeva; and later his nephew, Stas Kostylev, to kill Guriy.
Also several P1001 pistols later appears in the Epstein's Gun Shop (because the Guriy's pistol was bought in this shop.)

Sturmgewehr 44 (Mocked up as a M16)

Several STG 44 rifles, mocked up as a M16, appears in the Epstein's Gun Shop. Note this is a Belarusfilm's fake "M16", which differs from Mosfilm's "M16s". It is equipped with a short magazine; the main change is the presence of the compensator, the front sight moved upward, and the upper handle is attached.

FN Model 1905

Four pocket pistols (two of which are nickel-plated) also appears inter alia weapons. It appears to be a FN Model 1905 or some of its numerous clones of Spanish Eibar origin.

Custom Compact StG-44

Very interesting compact version of the StG-44, with a short barrel, without the buttstock, and with short magazine. This is the exact same modified Sturmgewehr 44 that was previously used in the 1990 film Road Hawks (Stervyatniki na dorogakh).
