Death Warrant is a 1990 Canadian-American action film directed by Deran Sarafian (Terminal Velocity) and stars Jean-Claude Van Damme as Louis Burke, a detective who goes undercover as a convict in a state prison in order to investigate numerous unexplained deaths of inmates. The screenplay was written by David Goyer.

Ithaca Model 37 Deer Slayer Police Special shotguns are used by prison guards. In the climactic scene Burke (Jean-Claude Van Damme) disarms Sergeant DeGraf (Art LaFleur) and then gives the shotgun to Hawkins (Robert Guillaume) who it turn passes the gun to "Priest" (Abdul Salaam El Razzac).
