Both Hou Jie (Andy Lau) and as Cao Man (Nicholas Tse) both had Mauser C96s as their sidearms. A few of their soldiers also hand them.

Hou Jie's and his wife both carried a Mauser Pocket Pistol. It is hard to tell which model it is.

Hou Jie's, which later became Cao Man's soldiers all used what appeared to be the Chinese copy of the Gewehr 1888 called the Hanyang 88.
