Daredevil is the television series adaptation of the Marvel superhero series of the same name, created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the series chronicles the adventures of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), after being blinded in an accident in his youth, finds that his other senses have been heightened. As an adult, Murdock juggles dual identities, as a lawyer by day and by night as the vigilante crime fighter who comes to be known as Daredevil, fighting a one man war to clean up Hell's Kitchen. The series, which premiered on Netflix in 2015, is the first of four original series set in the MCU that will highlight Marvel's "street-level" heroes. The superhero was previously adapted in a 2003 feature film that starred Ben Affleck.
