Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
April Rain is a 2014 action film starring Ryan Guzman, Luke Goss, and Ming-Na Wen. In this high action adventure, an eclectic group of terrorists plot to attack the United States from within. It's up to a quasi-military special investigative unit to identify, infiltrate and neutralize the threat.
The following weapons were used in the film April Rain:
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
Alex (Ryan Guzman) and Sikes (Luke Goss) use Beretta 92FS pistols for the majority of the movie. Special Agent Singleton (Doug Savant) also uses one in the confrontation with Helen, substituting for the Taurus he has in the final shootout.
Browning Hi-Power
In a few inside scenes, Sikes has a (rubber prop) Browning Hi-Power holstered. It is never drawn.
Makarov PMM
The Makarov PMM and other Makarov-type pistols, are common weapons in the film, notably used by Nikolai Kotov (Andrew Keegan). In a scene, he uses one, specifically an IJ-70 with target sights, threaded barrel, and suppressor, despite using a PMM with only target sights in the scene directly prior.
Makarov PM
Two Russian thugs use Makarov PMs in the opening shootout. A terrorist also uses one before he is shot. It is also Mikhail Kotov's (played by the film's producer, Adrian Tudor) weapon of choice in the final shootout. This one, however, is a rubber replica.
Taurus PT92AF
A Russian thug uses a Taurus PT92AF with wood grips in the opening shootout, and Special Agent Singleton uses one with black plastic grips in the final shootout.
Llama IX-A
Yusef (Jake Lawson) pulls a Llama IX-A in a last-ditch attempt to avoid arrest.
Smith & Wesson Model 64
Helen points a Smith & Wesson Model 64 at Special Agent Thomas in the film when she confronts him.
Glock 17
Alex is shown with a Glock 17 in certain scenes. This is an airsoft replica. Other SWAT officers use them, as well.
Glock 18
One of the SWAT officers (played by Lou Simon, the film's stunt coordinator), carries a Glock 18 in the raid on Yusef's apartment. This is another airsoft replica.
Submachineguns
MP5KA3
One terrorist is armed with an MP5KA3 in the park. As it is never fired, it was a rubber replica.
Shotguns
Mossberg 500 Cruiser
Dimitri uses a Mossberg 500 Cruiser with a heatshield in the opening shootout. The tactical response unit also has an officer wielding one in the final shootout.
Rifles
Polytech Legend AK-47
Tariq (Deniz Akdeniz) uses a Polytech Legend AK-47 in the final shootout, along with other terrorists.
Type 56
Other terrorists use Type-56s in the final shootout.
Type 56-1
Nikolai also uses a Type 56-1 with a bayonet.
M4A1
SWAT Officers use M4A1s in the film. These are all airsoft replicas, fitted with foregrips and replica ACOG 4x scopes.
M16A2
Special Agent Thomas (Vincent Spano) uses an M16A2 in the final shootout, along with other officers.
