Supergirl is the superhero television series based on the DC Comics character. The series follows the adventures of Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), who is the cousin of Kal-el, who comes to be known on Earth as Superman. Like her more famous relative, Kara escapes from Krypton shortly before its destruction. At the age of 12, she also finds herself on Earth, where she is adopted by an earth family and subsequently takes the name of Kara Danvers (in a nod to previous Superman universe adaptations, Kara's father is portrayed by Dean Cain, who portrayed Superman in the series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and her mother is portrayed by Helen Slater, who portrayed Supergirl in the 1984 feature film adaptation). In the series, Kara, now in her mid twenties, must learn to embrace her powers after she has to reveal them during an unexpected disaster, setting her on her journey of heroism and self discovery as she begins to take on the persona of Supergirl. The series premiered in the fall of 2015 in the US on CBS and was co-developed by Greg Berlanti, who also developed the other DC Comics superhero series Arrow and The Flash.
The following weapons were used in the television series Supergirl (2015):
Pistols
Glock 17
Agents of the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO) are seen carrying Glock 17s as their sidearms. The agents seen using the pistol include Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) and Hank Henshaw (David Harewood).
Beretta 92FS
A security guard is seen pulling a Beretta 92FS at a Hellgrammite in "Stronger Together" (S1E02).
Shotguns
Sawed Off Double Barreled Shotgun
A criminal is seen holding up a pizza restaurant with a Sawed-off Double Barrel Shotgun in "Stronger Together" (S1E02).
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K
Two bank robbers wield Heckler & Koch MP5Ks in "Pilot" (S1E01). Both appear to feature the longer lugged barrels of the Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW while one also has the PDW folding stock fitted, but these are not PDWs due to the S-E-F lower receiver/trigger group (actual MP5K-PDWs have Navy lowers).
