John Milton ([[Nicolas Cage]]) carries an [[Colt M1911A1]] pistol as his sidearm throughout the film. Piper ([[Amber Heard]]) also handles the gun on a couple of occasions. Judging from the typical dark grey finish, old safety lever and linear barrel, the gun is a genuine M1911A1 Army version, not a more common Series 70 often used to impersonate the gun. Milton's original handgun was supposedly going to be a .357 Magnum revolver. After the "God Killer" was made, Milton's sidearm was changed to an [[Colt M1911A1]], to be less similar. The gun has two visible jam, exaclty when Piper shoots the cop and then when Milton reloads after shooting a cultist woman driving a pick-up. | John Milton ([[Nicolas Cage]]) carries an [[Colt M1911A1]] pistol as his sidearm throughout the film. Drive Angry is a 2011 "grindhouse"-style action movie that stars Nicolas Cage as a man who escapes from Hell in order to save a kidnapped infant from a cult that also murdered his daughter. The film was released in 3D and co-stars Amber Heard, Billy Burke, David Morse, and William Fichtner.
The following weapons were used in the film Drive Angry:
Pistols
Colt M1911A1
John Milton (Nicolas Cage) carries an Colt M1911A1 pistol as his sidearm throughout the film. Piper (Amber Heard) also handles the gun on a couple of occasions. Judging from the typical dark grey finish, old safety lever and linear barrel, the gun is a genuine M1911A1 Army version, not a more common Series 70 often used to impersonate the gun. Milton's original handgun was supposedly going to be a .357 Magnum revolver. After the "God Killer" was made, Milton's sidearm was changed to an Colt M1911A1, to be less similar. The gun has two visible jam, exaclty when Piper shoots the cop and then when Milton reloads after shooting a cultist woman driving a pick-up.
SIG-Sauer P226
The SIG-Sauer P226 is seen used by state troopers during the roadblock. Trooper/cultist Katsura is also seen wielding his duty P226 during the climactic shootout.
Colt Gold Cup National Match
Tattooed Guy (Michael Papajohn) uses a stainless Colt Gold Cup National Match at the church.
Glock 19
Colorado police officers carry the Glock 19 as their sidearm. One is also seen in the hands of a cultist during the church shootout.
Flashpaper 1911 (Continuity error)
As one of the Colorado police officers gets shot by Piper during the motel shootout, his Glock 19 briefly turns into a Flashpaper (or 'Non Gun') 1911. "Non Guns" are a brand name of electronically-operated prop weapons made by ISS (Independent Studio Services). They are safer than real-steel counterparts, and they often subtitute them i.e. when blanks are not necessary.
Glock 17 with stainless slide
A Glock 17 with a stainless slide is used by one of Jonah's followers.
IMI Desert Eagle
During the car chase after the church shootout, a cultist woman is seen firing a Desert Eagle at Milton's '69 Charger.
Heckler & Koch USP
Some cultists are seen with Heckler & Koch USPs during the climactic shootout.
Revolvers
Colt Single Action Army
Jonah King (Billy Burke) carries a Single Action Army revolver as his sidearm.
Smith & Wesson Model 586
Webster (David Morse) is briefly seen with a Smith & Wesson Model 586 as he comes to meet Milton and Piper.
Smith & Wesson Model 629 "Performance Center"
A cultist (Henry Kingi) is seen holding and firing a Smith & Wesson Model 629 "Performance Center" revolver fitted with a huge scope during the church shootout. He later gives it to a woman, who uses it during the ensuing car chase.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
During the church shootout, a cultist pulls out a Smith & Wesson Model 10 snub-nosed revolver with ivory grips, and holds Milton at gunpoint.
Colt Python
A couple of cultists are seen wielding Colt Python revolvers during the church shootout. A naked cultist woman is also seen firing a Colt Python at Milton's Chevelle during the climax shootout, but is quickly taken down by Milton.
Ruger GP100
A cultist pulls out a stainless Ruger GP100 during the climax shootout, and holds it on The Accountant (William Fichtner).
Rifles
Colt M16A4
The Colt M16A4 is used by a couple of state troopers as well as Cap (Tom Atkins) during the roadblock scene.
Remington Model 700
One of the cultists uses a scoped Remington Model 700 rifle during the climactic shootout.
Shotguns
Remington 870
John Milton (Nicolas Cage) carries a custom Remington 870 shotgun throughout the film, and uses it on multiple occassions. The gun is customized with a rear pistol grip, a leather strap on the foregrip, a custom Royal Arms 12 point breaching muzzle and a side shell holder. A cultist is also seen with a regular Remington 870 shotgun during the church shootout. Some state troopers are also seen with regular Remington 870s at a roadblock.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
Webster (David Morse) is seen with a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun when he helps Milton and Piper.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Sawed-Off Shotgun
Tattooed Guy (Michael Papajohn), Jonah King's right hand man uses a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Sawed-Off Shotgun throughout the movie, most notably during the motel shootout.
Saiga 12
A Saiga 12 shotgun is briefly wielded by Jonah King (Billy Burke) in the final fight, with a shortened barrel, butt stock removed, and a 20-round drum magazine. This appears to be the exact same custom Saiga 12 from Gamer and The Expendables.
Mossberg 590
A cultist is seen firing a Mossberg 590 during the climactic shootout.
Unknown 12 Gauge Shotgun
During the climax shootout, one of the cultists wields an unknown 12 shotgun, but gets run over by Milton.
The 'God Killer'
John Milton (Nicolas Cage) uses a custom made pepperbox-type gun identified in the film as the "God Killer". Milton presumably stole the gun from Hell. The firearm has the power to completely destroy one's soul and the Accountant (William Fichtner) is seen wounded by it. Piper (Amber Heard) also uses the gun during the climax.
