The Silencers is a 1966 spy comedy directed by Phil Karlson and stars Dean Martin as Matt Helm, a former superspy who comes out of retirement to foil a plot by an evil organization to incite a nuclear war. The film was released at the height of the James Bond phenomena and its success spawned four more films including The Ambushers and Murderers' Row.
Despite the serious tone of the original Donald Hamilton novels which these are very loosely based, this film series were made as parodies of the James Bond genre, akin to the In Like Flint series.

Smith & Wesson 39
What appears to be a Smith & Wesson 39 pistol is given to Matt by MacDonald (James Gregory). The pistol has a unique reverse barrel that actually shoots the round at the person holding the weapon. The pistol also is seen in the hands of both Sam Gunther (Robert Webber) and Gail Hendricks (Stella Stevens).
Madsen M50
The Madsen M50 is used by Matt.
