The following weapons were used in the video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
Makarov PM
The Makarov PM appears in the game as the PMm, it is the most common handgun in the first half of the game, used by the Bandits, early "Duty" members, regular army soldiers and rookie stalkers alike. It cannot be fitted with a silencer.
PB / 6P9 Silenced
The PB silenced pistol appears in the game as the "PB1s", it is used occasionally by rookie and experienced stalkers. It is not very powerful, but is the first silenced weapon the player will come across.
Fort-12
The Fort 12 appears in the game as the "Fort-12Mk2", it is used by members of the Ukrainian Army and, on several occasions, by rookie stalkers. There is also a unique 15 round version in the game called the "Fort-15" which is carried by an army officer, Major Kuznetkov, and is the subject of an item retrieval quest. It can also be fitted with a silencer.
Walther P99
The Walther P99 pistol appears in the game as the "Walker P9m", it is one of the most common weapons in the Zone and is often carried by experienced stalkers of many factions and others both friendly and hostile. There is also a unique 9x18 Makarov firing version carried by a friendly stalker named Mole. The standard model can be bought in the Bar.
Beretta M92FS
The Beretta M92F appears in the game as the "Martha", it is one of the most rare weapons in the game and only a Duty faction member named Vasko Magnate (whom the player meets in the Dark Valley) carries it. It is the most unreliable weapon in the game, and degrades very quickly.
Colt 1911A1
The M1911A1 appears in the game as the "Kora-919", it is a rare weapon, and is used by some experienced stalkers. A unique version with a non-removable silencer version is carried by a stalker named "Sparrow".
Sig Sauer P220
The SIG P220, appears in the game as the "SIP-t M200", chambered in .45 ACP. It is sometimes used by more experienced members of the "Duty" faction.
Heckler & Koch USP.45 Compact
The Heckler & Koch USP.45 Compact appears in the game as the "UDP Compact", it is often used by members of the "Freedom" and "Monolith" factions. It can be bought from Skinflint in the Freedom base.
IMI Desert Eagle
The Desert Eagle appears in the game in two versions, the "Big Ben", using 9x39mm SP-5, SP-6 or PAB-9 ammunition and the "Black Kite", that fires 45. ACP ammunition. It can also be fitted with a silencer. The .45ACP ammunition is unrealistic, as the Desert Eagle can only fire .41, .44, .357 and .50AE rounds.
Also of note, the version firing 9x39mm is also incredibly unrealistic, even more so than the one firing .45ACP.
Winchester 1300 Defender
The Winchester 1300(Maverick 88?) appears in the game as the "Chaser 13", it is quite common in the game, though only found in the later parts of the game. There is a version of it called the "Combat Chaser" which has a piece of the artifact "Gravi" built into the barrel meaning an increase in the speed of the pellets flight and increased damage, at the cost of a lower magazine size. It is a unique gun, but it is easy to get as it is carried by a stalker called "Father Diodor" that you can get an optional mission from Sidorvich to assassinate. It can fire normal 12-gauge shells, 12-gauge slugs and 12-gauge darts, like all shotguns. The "Chaser 13" can be purchased from Professor Sakharov in the mobile lab in the Yantar area.
TOZ-66 Sawn-off Double Barreled Shotgun
The most common shotgun in the game is the TOZ-66 sawn-off shotgun, it is frequently used by rookie stalkers, Bandits, and even Duty faction members (some of the guards at the checkpoint in the Garbage use them). It can fire normal 12-gauge buckshot shells, 12-gauge slugs and 12-gauge darts.
Franchi SPAS-12
The SPAS 12 shotgun appears in the game as the "SPSA14", it is somewhat rare and only carried in rare cases by zombified stalkers, members of the Monolith faction inside the Chernobyl Plant Sarcophagus and it can also be found in a secret stash. Almost surprisingly for a video game, the weapon is appropriately depicted as being semi-automatic, rather than pump-action. There is also a unique "SPSA14" with a 'threaded barrel' which is more accurate, it is carried by a veteran bandit named Poker who is the target in a extremely bugged assassination mission that makes it almost impossible to find. It can fire normal 12-gauge shells, 12-gauge slugs and 12-gauge darts.
Heckler & Koch MP-54
The Heckler & Koch MP-54 appears in the game as the "Viper 5", it is often used by rookie stalkers and Bandits. It is an early 1960s prototype of the MP5, evidenced by the straight box magazine, and body design. There is a unique 9x18mm Makarov version hidden in a train tunnel in the Garbage area and also a suppressed version carried by a STALKER named Vampire. The weapon can also be fitted with a silencer separately.
Kalashnikov AKS-74N
The AKS-74N appears in the game as the "Akm-74/2", it is the most common assault rifle in the game, it is used by Ukranian Army soldiers, Mercenary snipers in the Wild Territory when you first arrive there, experienced stalkers, members of the Duty faction and occasionally members of the Monolith faction. It can be fitted with a silencer, a PSO-1 scope and a GP-25 Kostyer grenade launcher. There is also a modified version in Strelok's hidden stash in the Agroprom Underground with a higher rate of fire. It has a strange green handguard and Bulgarian Waffle magazine.
Kalashnikov AKMSU
The AKS-74U appears in the game as the "Akm-74/2U", it is carried by many stalkers, "Dutiers" and Bandits in the early parts of the game. There is a special version carried by a stalker called Bes with an integrated silencer. While in-game it fires 5.45x39mm, it is modeled with a 7.62x39 magazine, which would make it an AKMSU.
Nikonov AN-94 Abakan
The AN-94 Abakan appears in the game as the "Obokan", it is often carried by members of the Duty faction, by Monolithians, and the Military. It cannot be fitted with a GP-25 Kostyer Grenade launcher, but it can mount a PSO-1 scope. There is also a version of the "Obokan" called the "Storming Obokan" with integrates a GP-25 Kostyer Grenade Launcher with the weapon (Also part of an optional mission requiring you to get the "enhanced cannon"), and also a "sniper" Okoban.
Lee Enfield L85A1
The Enfield L85A1, also known as the SA-80, appears in the game as the "IL 86", . There are two special versions of the "IL 86", the Balanced IL 86 with reduced recoil carried by a stalker named "Scarecrow", and the Lightened IL 86 which is lighter and has an integrated silencer that is carried by a stalker called "Master". Contrary to what the game says, it CANNOT be fitted with a M203 grenade launcher or a silencer.
Heckler & Koch G36K
The Heckler & Koch G36 appears in the game as the "GP37", it is used by veteran members of the Freedom Faction. It cannot be fitted with a M203 grenade launcher, although the game says it can, nor can a silencer be fitted on it. It is a fairly common weapon in the last third of the game, and is accurate and powerful.
SIG SG-550
The SIG SG 550 appears in the game as the "SGI 5k", it is largely used by the Freedom and Mercenary factions. It can be fitted with a M203 grenade launcher, and a unique SGI can fit a scope as well. There are also two examples of a sniper version with a special SUSAT scope with enhanced zoom, it is used by two Freedom members named "Twig" and "Leshiy", who can be found guarding the main gate at Freedom's base.
Fabrique Nationale F2000GL
The FN F2000 appears in the game as the "FT 200M", it is used by a combatant in the Arena and by Monolith members inside the Chernobyl Plant Sarcophagus. It has an integrated scope and FN EGLM grenade launcher.
Z-M Weapons LR-300ML
The LR-300 appears in the game as the "TRs 301", it is used a lot by the Mercenaries and Freedom faction members. It is the most common NATO assault rifle in the game. There is also a sniper version with a fixed scope with enhanced zoom and reduced rate of fire. It can be modified with a M203 grenade launcher, silencer and a SUSAT scope.
OC-14 Groza
The OC-14 Groza appears in the game as the "Tunder S14", it is often carried by members of the Duty faction. It has an integrated Grenade Launcher. in the Bar Area. The "Tunder S14 can sometimes be purchased in the Mobile Lab in the Yantar area, and a version in 5.45x39mm can be bought from Sidorvich, after the second visit.
Note: The word "Groza" actually means Thunder, which is obviously where the developers got the idea for 'tunder'.
AS Val
The AS Val appears in the game as the "VLA", it is carried by some members of the Duty faction. It has an integrated silencer and a version can be found that can be modified with a PSO-1 scope. (Sniper VLA)
SVD Dragunov
The SVD Dragunov appears in the game as the "SVDm2", it is used by Monolith snipers in Pripyat and the Red Forest. You cannot sprint while wielding this weapon.
"Gauss Gun"
A completely fictional "pulse rifle" that has a 10 "round" magazine. You cannot sprint while wielding this weapon. It cannot be bought from any trader, although one stalker pretends to sell you one to defraud you. It is relatively common in the last quarter of the game, found in the hands of Monolith snipers.
Official Description: A super-accurate weapon made by the scientists in the Zone. It is almost noiseless, because instead of gunpowder, it uses the artifact's energy for firing rather than steam gases. In spite of the Gauss gun's tremendous firepower, the recoil is insignificant. The accuracy and the killing power of this gun exceed those of all other small arms.
Dragunov SVU
The SVU appears in the game as the "SVUmk2", it is used by Monolith snipers in Pripyat and the Red Forest, and also Freedom snipers. You cannot sprint while wielding this weapon.
VSS Vintorez
The VSS Vintorez appears in the game as the "Vintar BC", it can be found in four places at the Freedom base or given by General Voronin of Duty for completing a mission or found in a manhole at the Freedom base(if discovered) or carried by a specific enemy in Pripyat. It is one of the best sniper rifles in the game, as it is only 3.20 kilos and the player can sprint with it unlike with the Dragunov. The 9x39mm SP-5 ammunition is easier to find, but SP-6 ammunition penetrates the enemy more. Also, 9x39mm ammunition is easier to find than 7.62x54R, but still somewhat difficult.
RG-6 Grenade Launcher
The RG-6 appears in the game as the "Bulldog 6", it is not used by any enemies, but it can be found in the Freedom base and in a cellar in a house in an abandoned village. You cannot sprint while wielding this weapon.
RPG-7V
The RPG-7 also makes an appearance in the game. It is used by Monolith members in the Red Forest, a Mercenary when you first arrive in the Wild Territory, it can also be found in a factory in Dark Valley. You cannot sprint while wielding this weapon.
RGD-5 Hand Grenade
The most common hand grenades in the game are RGD-5 hand grenades. They have a small radius of blast damage.
F1 Hand Grenade
The second most common (and only other) hand grenades in the game are F1 hand grenades. They have larger radius of blast damage than the RGD-5 hand grenades.
TOZ-34
The TOZ-34, an over and under shotgun, was featured in some pre-release media, but the weapon doesn't actually appear anywhere in the game, despite existing, fully functioning, in the game's files. Many game modifications add it to trader inventories so it can be bought. It functions much like the sawn-off TOZ-66, but is considerably more accurate. It also shows up early in the beginning of 'Oblivion Lost', a Modification of the game.
Browning Hi-Power
Another (apparently) cut weapon. The Browning Hi-Power is in the game, fully functioning, but doesn't appear anywhere and can't be bought. Like with the TOZ-34, many mods add the Hi-Power to trader inventories so it can be purchased.
Mosin Nagant M91/30
In the Bandit Camp just before switching levels, and later in the Bar, a large poster depicts a WW2 era Soviet soldier opening the bolt of his Mosin Nagant rifle. In the bottom corner of other picture, the weapon is seen disassembled.
YakB-12.7
Seen Mounted on Crashed Hind helicopters, and used by still-function ones.
