The French Conspiracy (original title: L'Attentat - English: "The Assassination") is a 1972 French-Italian-West German politician thriller film directed by Yves Boisset. Starring Jean-Louis Trintignant, Gian Maria Volonté, Michel Piccoli and Roy Scheider.

François Darien (Jean-Louis Trintignant) carries a FN Model 1922. Michel Howard (Roy Scheider) used his pistol.

One of assassins used a suppressed Walther P38 pistol.
Over/Under Sporting Shotgun
Mr. Lempereur (Michel Bouquet) owned a double barreled O/U sporting shotgun.
MAS-36
MAS-36 rifles used a French national police. Some rifles are fitted with smoke grenade launchers.
