Michael Clayton is the 2008 thriller starring George Clooney as a "fixer" for a high-priced law firm who finds himself conflicted when his mentor has a breakdown and threatens to expose one of the firm's top clients. The cast included Sydney Pollack, Tom Wilkinson, and Tilda Swinton, who received an Academy Award for her performance in the film. Michael Clayton also was the directorial debut of Tony Gilroy, the screenwriter of the Jason Bourne film trilogy as well as the writer/director of The Bourne Legacy.
