Harry's Game was a novel before it was produced as a mini-series on British television in 1982. It's interesting to note that Billy used an Armalite AR-18 in the novel instead of the Type 56. The novel was written in the mid seventies by Gerald Seymour and at that time the AR-18 had become associated with the IRA. Much like the Thompson smg was in the twenties.
