Ted Cassidy (1932-1979) was an American actor who was perhaps best known for his role was as Lurch in the television series The Addams Family. Cassidy also portrayed other memorable characters that utilized his 6' 9" frame including episodes of The Twilight Zone and Star Trek: The Original Series and such films as Mackenna´s Gold and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
