Squad is a tactical first-person shooter video game. It is set to be self-published through Steam and is a spiritual successor to the multi-award winning Project Reality modification for Battlefield 2. The goal of Squad is to create a "tactical first person shooter built around teamwork and cooperation". The development was announced in October 2014 and it is currently in a pre-alpha state.

The Beretta M9A1 is revealed as the main sidearm of the U.S. Army Faction in the March 2015 Update.
Makarov PM
The Makarov PM is the standard the sidearm for the insurgents.
Walther P99
Some U.S. Army soldier's are seen with this Walther P99 holstered. Oddly, the frame uses the Walther P99 but it appears with a slide, hammer, safety decocker, muzzle, and rear sight similar to the Beretta 92FS. The weapon is non-usable.
Assault rifles
AK-74
The AK-74 is the first weapon to be showcased in the Pre-alpha Gameplay, along with the M4. AK-74 will be set as the standard primary weapon for the insurgents.
M4/M4A1 Carbine
The M4 carbine is also revealed, along with the AK-74, in the Pre-alpha Gameplay. It is said to be a M4 Carbine but it's shown to have the characteristics of a M4A1 Carbine (which is a full automatic fire). The M4/M4A1 also features many different attachments, such as; Trijicon Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight (ACOG), Iron Sights, CompM4 Aimpoint Red Dot sight, Foregrip, Carry Handle, and the M203 Grenade Launcher. The M4 / M4A1 Carbine will be set as the standard primary weapon for the U.S. Army.

SVD Dragunov
The SVD Dragunov is revealed to be a work in progress in the February 2015 update.
Machine Guns
M249
The M249 is revealed in the January 2015 update. It is seen being fitted with an ACOG scope (looks to be a ACOG TA31H with TA91 Anti-Reflection Device), a 200-round ammo drum, and a RIS Handguard.
RPK Light Machine Gun
The RPK light machine gun is first revealed in the November 2014 animation testing. It is fitted with a 75-round drum magazine and features a stamped receiver (as opposed to the milled receiver).
Hand Grenades
F-1 Hand Grenade
The F-1 hand grenade is revealed in the April 2015 update as the Insurgent's standard hand grenade.
M18 Smoke Grenade
The M18 smoke grenade will be featured as the non-lethal smoke grenade for the U.S. Army and currently as a placeholder smoke grenade for the Insurgents as the RDG-2 Smoke Grenade is still in development.
M67 Hand Grenade
The M67 hand grenade is revealed as the standard HE-Frag (High-Explosive Fragmentation) grenade for the U.S. Army. It is revealed in the February 2015 update.
RKG-3 Anti-Tank Grenade
The RKG-3 Anti-Tank Grenade is revealed to be a work in progress in the April 2015 update. It comes in a green color.
RDG-2 Smoke Grenade
The RDG-2 smoke grenade is said to be in development stage and will be set as the insurgent's smoke grenade.
Grenade Launchers
GP-25 Grenade Launcher
The GP-25 grenade launcher is added in the April 2015 update. The GP-25 appears to be mounted on the AK-74.
M203 Grenade Launcher
The M203 grenade launcher is added in the April 2015 update. The M203 is seen as underbarrel grenade launcher for the M4/M4A1 Carbine.

Launchers
RPG-7
The RPG-7 was added in the February 2015 update and later in April 2015 update. Currently in Pre-Alpha, the RPG-7 uses the OG-7V warhead. PG-7VM and the TBG-7 warhead is seen in game but unusable.
