The Quick and the Dead (1987)

The Quick and the Dead is a 1987 television Western film based on the 1973 Louis L'Amour novel of the same name. The film stars Sam Elliott as Con Vallian, a cowboy who befriends a young family traveling West and proceeds to help them fend off bandits who threaten their lives. The film premiered on HBO in February of 1987. Not to be confused with the 1995 Western that starred Sharon Stone.
