The Desperate Trail (1995)

The Desperate Trail is a 1995 Western starring Linda Fiorentino as woman sentenced to death after she kills her abusive husband. When she escapes custody, she is pursued by her vengeful father-in-law (Sam Elliott), who also happens to be the town marshal. The film's cast also includes Craig Sheffer and Bradley Whitford. The Desperate Trail first aired in 1995 on the TNT network and then was released on DVD.
