The Following weapons have appeared in the television series CSI: NY:
Glock series
All the CSIs use Glock pistols in the series. Det. Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise), Det. Don Flack (Eddie Cahill), and Det. Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo) carry Glocks 17s and Det. Stella Bonasera (Melina Kanakaredes) carries a Glock 26. Some other officers are also seen using Glock 19.
M16A2 Rifle
There are several appearances of the M16A2 rifle throughout the series. In the episode "Heroes", U.S. Marines can be seen armed with M16A2's fitted with ACOG scopes during a tactical demonstration during Fleet Week, a few also being fitted with M203 grenade launchers. In the episode "Charge of This Post", a bomber named Dean Lessing (Eion Bailey) who was denied enlistment into the Marine Corps holds a Homeland Security agent (Tembi Locke) at gunpoint with one before being talked into surrendering his weapon.
M203 Grenade Launcher
In the episode "Heroes", several U.S. Marines can be seen armed with M16A2 rifles fitted with M203 grenade launchers during a tactical demonstration during Fleet Week.
M249 SAW
In the episode "Heroes", one of the Marines involved in the tactical demonstration can be seen armed with an M249 SAW.
Ithaca 37
In the episode "Silent Night", an Ithaca 37 can be seen being fired into a ballistics tank, and is called an "M37" by Detective Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise). In the episode "Boo", an Ithaca 37 is identified as a murder weapon and can be shown being test-fired during the investigation.
M1911A1
In the episode "Hostage", a bank robber can be seen holding a woman at gunpoint with an M1911A1 pistol.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Most N.Y.P.D. SWAT officers can be seen using Heckler & Koch MP5A3 submachine guns, usually fitted with Surefire dedicated forend weaponlights.
M4A1 Carbine
In one episode, N.Y.P.D. SWAT officers conducting a search warrant at an apartment can be seen armed with M4A1 carbines as well as the typical MP5A3's.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
In the episode "Raising Shane", a robber uses a Smith & Wesson Model 36 to rob a bar and then fatally shoot the bartender, the whole time impersonating Dr. Sheldon Hawkes (Hill Harper). It is later discovered that this is a plot by Shane Casey (Edward Furlough) to force Detective Messer to exonerate his brother Ian Casey (Jeremy Nichols) of a similar crime. Shane himself uses the revolver to kill the robber and then brandishes it several times in confrontations with Mac and Messer, ultimately being talked into surrendering the weapon when Messer is able to prove that his brother was indeed guilty of his crime.
