Appleseed Alpha is an direct-to-video anime movie prequel based on the manga of the same name by Masamune Shirow (creator of Ghost in the Shell, New Dominion Tank Police, and Black Magic M-66) and is the fifth animated entry in the francise (previous Appleseed titles include a 1988 OVA, a 2004 CGI film and its 2008 sequel, and a direct-to-video TV series. As with the previous adaptations, Alpha is not in continuity with either the original manga or its animated predicessors, featuring a new storyline using Shirow's characters, settings, and mythos. The film was released digitally July 15, 2014 and on home video on July 22, 2014.
The following weapons were used in the film Appleseed Alpha:
Handguns
Deunan's 1911
Deunan Knute's sidearm is a custom M1911 pistol. It has cocking serrations in the rear, ring hammer, a light rail and custom grips.
Glock 17
Talos' sidearm is a Glock 17 with a light attached.
Heckler & Koch MK23
Briareos is breifly seen handing Olson a Heckler & Koch Mark 23.
Rifles
Custom CQB-R
The rifles in the hands of both Deunan and Briareos (Only in the beginning of the film) appears to be CQBRs with futuristic furniture and an EOtech attached. The handguard looks like it's based partly on the KAC quad-rail. Some cyborgs used similar rifles but without the EOtech or the carrying handle. Under the handguard looks like the handguard taken from an F2000. Nyx stated that these were "6mm assault rifles".
FN F2000/FN P90 hybrid rifle
Triton soldiers use rifles that seemed to be a combination of the FN F2000 and a FN P90. Overall it looks like an F2000, but you can see the P90's magazine inside it.
FN SCAR-L
Two-Horns' men uses FN SCAR-Ls as their primary rifles.
Barrett M107
Briareos' main rifle for the rest of the film is a custom Barrett M107 that's been altered to look futuristic using a V shaped muzzle brake and a spare magazine holder built into the stock.
Shotgun
Benelli M4
Two-Horns' men also uses Benelli M4s with the stocks removed.
Other
RPG
One of Two Horns' men used an RPG in the final battle.
M67 Grenade
Briareos gave Olson a grenade, who then gives it to Iris to use. Briareos also uses one at the end of the movie.
