The Frighteners is a 1996 horror comedy starring Michael J. Fox as an architect who discovers that he has the ability to talk to the dead and finds himself hired by a small town to deal with a deceased serial killer who has returned to terrorize them. This film was director Peter Jackson's first that was financed by a major Hollywood studio.

A Mossberg 590 shotgun is first seen in the hands of Old Lady Bradley (Julianna McCarthy). Patricia Ann Bradley (Dee Wallace) is later seen with the shotgun fitted with a flashlight on top.
M60
Dual M60 machine guns are first seen wielded by the ghost of Sgt. Hiles (R. Lee Ermey). Frank Bannister (Michael J. Fox) is later seen wielding the guns.
Charter Arms Bulldog
Milton Dammers (Jeffrey Combs) is seen pulling what appears to be a Charter Arms Bulldog revolver to threaten Frank and Dr. Lucy Lynskey (Trini Alvarado). Frank is later seen with the revolver.
Remington 1875
Remington 1875 revolvers are seen wielded by the Judge (John Astin) in the museum.
SIG-Sauer P226
One of the deputies (Anthony Ray Parker) pulls his SIG-Sauer P226 on Frank in the museum.
Glock 17
A Glock 17 is drawn by a different deputy in the museum.
Beretta 92F
In some scenes, the same deputy appears to be using a Beretta 92F.

12 Gauge Double Barrel Shotgun
A 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun is seen used in a flashback by both Johnny Bartlett (Jake Busey) and the young Patricia Bradley (Nicola Cliff).
IMI Mini Uzi
Special Agent Dammers (Jeffrey Combs) pulls out a Mini Uzi when he confronts Frank in the derelict hospital.
Beretta 92SB Water Pistol
Frank is also seen using a water pistol that resembles a Beretta 92SB.
