Bosch is a police procedural series based on the "Harry Bosch" series of novels by Michael Connelly, the author whose works include Blood Work and The Lincoln Lawyer. A pilot was commissioned by web retailer Amazon for their streaming service, and premiered in February of 2014. Following positive feedback from viewers, Bosch was subsequently picked up for a full season and all 10 episodes premiered in February of 2015. In Connelly's novels, Bosch is the half-brother of Mickey Haller, the Los Angeles attorney portrayed by Matthew McConaughey in the feature film adaptation of The Lincoln Lawyer.
