The following weapons were used in the video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

Makarov PM

The Makarov PM appears in the game as the PMm, it is the most common handgun in the first half of the game, used by the Bandits, early "Duty" members and rookie S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s alike. It cannot be fitted with a silencer.

Official description: The most widespread pistol in the Zone. It is a legacy of the Soviet era. It is relatively reliable and cheap, has low magazine capacity, low power and an unsatisfactory grouping of shots. It is the main weapon of a beginning stalker.

Fort-12

The Fort 12 appears in the game as the "Fort-12Mk2", it is used by members of the Ukranian Army and on several occasions, by rookie STALKERs. There is also a 15 round version in the game called the "Fort-15" that is used by Major Kuznetkov. It can also be fitted with a silencer.

Official descriptions: A police pistol of Ukranian production, replaced the PMm. In comparison with the other pistols, it has improved accuracy, ergonomics and a larger magazine, but it is less reliable. Accuracy 16.67% Damage 6.67% Handling 99.17% Rate of Fire 16.67% Average 34.79% Weight 0.83 kg

Walther P99

The Walther P99 pistol appears in the game as the "Walker P9m", it is often carried by experienced S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s and others both friendly and hostile. There is also a unique 9x18 Makarov firing version carried by a friendly S.T.A.L.K.E.R. called Mole. The standard model can be bought in the Bar.

Official descriptions: An excellent pistol. Highly reliable with a high capacity magazine and a good fire accuracy, especially in the case of the model designed for the 9 mm FMJ round. Accuracy 16.67% Damage 6.67% Handling 100.00% Rate of Fire 17.50% Average 35.21% Weight 0.88 kg

Beretta M92FS

The Beretta M92F appears in the game as the "Martha", it is one of the most rare weapons in the game and only a "Dutier" from the Duty faction named Vasko Magnate in the Dark Valley (though sometimes at the Duty outpost in the garbage) carries it. It is one of the most unreliable weapons in the game, and degrades very quickly. Looking at the description, it is likely it was moddeled after the M9, instead of the 92FS.

Official description:

Adopted by the American army and police, as well as many military and police units all over the world. It is also very popular among the criminals for its high-powered round and its high-capacity magazine. Accuracy 16.67% Damage 31.67% Handling 95.00% Rate of Fire 15.00% Average 39.58% Weight 1.00 kg

Colt 1911A1

The M1911A1 appears in the game as the "Kora-919", it is an extremely rare weapon, as only a small part of the more elite S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s use it. A silenced version is carried by the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. called "Sparrow" in the game.

Official descriptions: A nice gun, which was presented in all the conflicts of the 20th century with honor and entered the new century with confidence. Its small-size magazine is partially compensated by the use of a high-powered round. Accuracy 10.83% Damage 10.83% Handling 91.67% Rate of Fire 16.67% Average 32.50% Weight 1.10 kg

Weapon of hired assassins. Good old reliable kora, comes with a non-replacable muffler. Accuracy 10.83% Damage 11.67% Handling 91.67% Rate of Fire 16.67% Average 32.71% Weight 1.10 kg

IMI Desert Eagle

The Desert Eagle appears in the game in two versions, the "Big Ben", using 9x39mm SP-5, SP-6 or PAB-9 ammunition and the "Black Kite", that fires 45. ACP ammunition. It can also be fitted with a silencer. The .45ACP ammunition is unrealistic, as the Desert Eagle can only fire .41, .44, .357 and .50AE rounds.

Also of note, the version firing 9x39mm is also incredibly unrealistic, even more so than the one firing .45ACP.

Official descriptions: A real gun for real heroes. It is big, heavy and very destructive. It is not very popular in the Zone due to its price and size. After all, you don't go hunting for elephants every day!Accuracy 1.67% Damage 29.17% Handling 55.83% Rate of Fire 14.17% Average 25.21% Weight 1.70 kg

A gun that is already powerful, reworked to fit rifle bullets. Truly a killing machine for close-range combat. Accuracy 1.67% Damage 49.17% Handling 60.83% Rate of Fire 14.17% Average 31.46% Weight 1.70 kg

Winchester 1300 Defender

The Winchester 1300(Maverick 88?) appears in the game as the "Chaser 13", it is quite common in the game, though only found in the later parts of the game. There is a version of it called the "Combat Chaser" which has a piece of the artifact "Gravi" built into the barrel meaning an increase in the speed of the pellets flight and increased damage, at the cost of a lower magazine size. It is a unique gun, but it is easy to get as it is carried by a STALKER called "Father Diodor" that you can get an optional mission from Sidorvich to assassinate. It can fire normal 12-gauge shells, 12-gauge slugs and 12-gauge darts, like all shotguns. The "Chaser 13" can be purchased from Professor Sakharov in the mobile lab in the Yantar area. Altough it's called the "Chaser 12" in the game, it's actually modelled after a Maverick 88 shotgun.

Official descriptions: An smooth-bore pump-action rifle made for use in the most hostile environment. It is very reliable. All its details are covered with anticorrosive coating. Accuracy 15.83% Damage 69.17% Handling 27.50% Rate of Fire 6.67% Average 29.79% Weight 3.00 kg

Variation of the Chaser. A small fragment of the artifact "Gravi" was built into the barrell, positioned in such a way as to increase the speed of the bullet's flight. Accuracy 15.83% Damage 76.67% Handling 27.50% Rate of Fire 6.67% Average 31.67% Weight 3.00 kg

TOZ-66 Sawn-off Double Barreled Shotgun

The most common shotgun in the game is the Sawn-off Shotgun, it is frequently used by rookie STALKERs, Bandits, and even Duty faction members (some of the guards at the checkpoint in the Garbage use them). It can fire normal 12-gauge buckshot shells, 12-gauge slugs and 12-gauge darts. Official description:

A sawn-off BM 17 rifle. It is lighter and more compact then the original two-barrel rifle, but it is effective only at a close range. One of the weapons most commonly used by beginners. Accuracy 13.33% Damage 58.33% Handling 82.50% Rate of Fire 29.17% Average 45.83% Weight 1.90 kg

File:Sawn-off Dbl-barrel Screen.jpg

Franchi SPAS-12

The SPAS 12 shotgun appears in the game as the "SPSA14", it is somewhat rare and only carried in rare cases by zombified STALKERs, members of the Monolith faction inside the Chernobyl Plant Sarcophagus and it can also be found in a secret stash. There is also a "SPSA14" with a threaded barrel, it is one of the rarest guns in the game, as it is carried by Poker who is the target in a extremely bugged mission and that makes it almost impossible to find. It can fire normal 12-gauge shells, 12-gauge slugs and 12-gauge darts.

Official descriptions: The SPSA14 smooth-bore rifle was developed in the late 1970th. This weapon is very reliable and flexibly used. It is however relatively big, expensive and its mechanism is too complex. Probably, this is the best close range gun in the Zone.Accuracy 3.33% Damage 65.00% Handling 9.17% Rate of Fire 10.00% Average 21.88% Weight 4.40 kg

UNIQUE WEAPON. This shotgun model has a rifled bore which greatly increases its accuracy when firing darts or slugs. However, using shot is more difficult.Accuracy 11.67% Damage 65.00% Handling 9.17% Rate of Fire 10.00% Average 23.96% Weight 4.40 kg

There is also a unique 9x18mm Makarov version hidden in a train tunnel in the Garbage area and a Silenced version carried by a STALKER called Vampire. The weapon can also be fitted with a silencer separately. Official description:

In the Zone, it is the main weapon of the military stalkers and of many solo fighters. Accuracy 35.83% Damage 11.67% Handling 45.83% Rate of Fire 45.00% Average 34.58% Weight 4.80 kg

Its advantages are its small dimensions very useful when fighting inside a building or in a thick forest and relatively high piercing capabilities. Its main disadvantages are a limited accuracy range and quick overheating when firing bursts. Accuracy 20.00% Damage 7.50% Handling 80.83% Rate of Fire 45.00% Average 38.33% Weight 2.7 kg
