I have seen that comment about Rossi's use of the .45 as opposed to the 9mm used by the BAU as being an indication that he was, at one point or another HRT, and for my two cents I think there is a different explanation. Throughout the character's involvement in the series several mentions are made that Rossi is 'old school' FBI and, again in my opinion, the use of the .45 is an indication of that. 'Old gun' = old agent. --Charon68 (talk) 06:59, 3 October 2014 (EDT) | I have seen that comment about Rossi's use of the .45 as opposed to the 9mm used by the BAU as being an indication that he was, at one point or another HRT, and for my two cents I think there is a different explanation. :I have actually just deleted the line speculating about him being ex HRT from all of the pages of this show as the pistol in question is not a TRP, but rather a Springfield Custom Professional which is not officially used by the FBI in any capacity. I kept the line about him being in the Marines in there though as this still potentially fits, I have never seen this show so if anybody who has wants to change it feel free. --commando552 (talk) 07:41, 3 October 2014 (EDT) | :I have actually just deleted the line speculating about him being ex HRT from all of the pages of this show as the pistol in question is not a TRP, but rather a Springfield Custom Professional which is not officially used by the FBI in any capacity. :: Being someone who's a big fan of the show and has worked a fair bit on these pages I have to say I was always just a bit curious about whether he had a correct ID on the particular Springfield 1911 Rossi uses - In fact, I just realized there was actually a comment made on the original talk page that purported (and showed in one image) his weapon was a custom Professional model and not a TRP, guess myself or Ben didn't pay it much mind.. I could have sworn in some parts of the show his Springfield has the front serrations like a TRP but I'm not positive though. For the most part however, this does seem accurate. As for his character, the former HRT remark was supposition, but I think we kept it as we had nothing to really disprove it, though throughout the show thus far (and it's been quite a while now) there's no indication he was HRT-trained persay, so I've no problem omitting that portion myself. He is indeed old-school FBI and was a former Marine, both of which are shown/indicated on the show and both certainly enough to explain why he uses a 1911 as opposed to the more modern weapons of almost all the rest of the team. In fact, I have to say it's gotten to where each agent more-or-less has their own particular gun, which I find a neat and nice little detail despite being somewhat unrealistic. Springfield Armory TRP
--Charon68 (talk) 06:59, 3 October 2014 (EDT)
