If you are talking about gun images, the majority of these are images found online, from retailers, manufacturers, auction sites, stuff like that, so the copyright is not owned by us in the first place so would definitely not be allowed on wikipedia without obtaining permission from the original source. The only possible exception would be imaged that have been photographed by users here, such as MPM2008s images of real blank fire weapons, however you would need to ask him for permission to use whatever image you wanted first. As for how to correctly credit and image you obtain permission to use and upload to wikipedia, I have no idea, that is probably something that it best asked somewhere on Wikipedia.  --[[User:Commando552|commando552]] ([[User talk:Commando552|talk]]) 10:13, 29 September 2014 (EDT)

re:Using an IMFDB Picture on Wikipedia

I do not edit wikipedia so am not familiar with their image policies so cannot give you a definitive answer, however i doubt that you would be able to use the majority of the images on IMFDB on wikipedia for copyright reasons. If you are talking about screenshots from media, then these are of copyrighted material that we use under the grounds of fair use, however I believe wikipedia generally discourage images used under this argument due to the ambiguity involved. If images are used under free use I think they have caveats such as it must be of reduced resolution, and only one can be per page and other stuff like that.

--commando552 (talk) 10:13, 29 September 2014 (EDT)
