The following guns were used in the movie 28 Weeks Later
Barrett M107/M82
One of the snipers in an early scene can be briefly seen with an M107/M82 sniper rifle. It later makes small appearances in the scene where the soldiers snipe the infected from the rooftops.
M4 Carbine
After the infected start to overrun the roofs, Doyle (Jeremy Renner) trades his M21 for an M4 Carbine. He uses this weapon throughout the movie until his death. Scarlett then uses it and is beaten to death with it. The weapon comes with a RIS foregrip, EO-Tech sight, and a night vision sight that adds a magnification. A memorable scene is when the survivors go through the subway and Scarlett guides the kids with the night vision sight (actually she makes THEM go first). Shortly after, the daughter shoots her infected father with it, who killed Scarlett and was stalking them in the subway.
Browning M2
The Browning M2 can be seen in both fixed position mounts and atop vehicles in 28 Weeks Later. It is used on screen briefly when the infected break out of the buildings and are fired upon with the Browning M2. Also, when the train carrying the returning refugees pulls into the rail station a fortified position sporting an M2HB is visible through the window.
M240
Seen briefly being fired when the infected are breaking out.
M16A4
Seen briefly by a soldier shooting at infected while backtracking.
Mk12 SPR
A sniper shooting at infected is seen using this rifle briefly.
M21 DMR
The M21 Designated Marksman Rifle is an accurized version of the M14 Rifle chambered in 7.62 x 51mm NATO. In the movie Doyle (Jeremy Renner) uses this firearm to pick off infected from a rooftop; he later abandons the rifle and switches to his M4 Carbine when he moves to ground level. Why is a US Army soldier rolling his blouse sleeves so that the inner layer is exposed (only Navy and Marines roll it that way), let alone roll them up at all, since it is now prohibited with the new uniforms.
M2A1 Flamethrower
Used by sweeper teams who are traveling through the poison gas. The teams consist of three members, two members with M4 carbines and the third with a flamethrower, burning the dead infected. Sgt. Doyle (Jeremy Renner) is ingulfed by flames as he push starts a Volvo so the others could get away.
MP5A3 Submachinegun
Flynn's seemly sidearm. He pulls it jokingly on Doyle whilst the two are fooling around, and near the end of the film, he threatens the kids at the Stadium as to the whereabouts of Doyle.
Beretta M9
The standard issue sidearm of the U.S. troops. Seen used by Scarlett and in Doyle's thigh holster, though he never used it.
