'''''Fruitvale Station''''' is a 2013 independent dramatization of the events leading up to and the shooting of Oscar Grant by BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) officers on New Years Day, 2009. The film was the feature debut of writer/director Ryan Coogler and was the first leading role for Michael B. Jordan, who played Oscar Grant. The film was produced by actor/director [[Forest Whitaker]] and was done with the full cooperation of BART, who allowed filming at Fruitvale Station, where the actual shooting occurred, and even the precise location where Grant was shot. The names of the BART officers involved in the incident were changed, however.

The film was the feature debut of writer/director Ryan Coogler and was the first leading role for Michael B. Jordan, who played Oscar Grant. The film was produced by actor/director Forest Whitaker and was done with the full cooperation of BART, who allowed filming at Fruitvale Station, where the actual shooting occurred, and even the precise location where Grant was shot. The names of the BART officers involved in the incident were changed, however.

The X26 on Ingram's belt. The officer who actually shot Oscar Grant claimed in court that he believed that he was drawing his X26 to tase Oscar Grant, not his sidearm. This defense was rejected not only due to the weight and color difference between the X26 and the officer's sidearm, but the fact that his taser was on the left side of his body, as depicted here.

SIG-Sauer P228

Officer Ingram shoots Oscar Grant (Michael B. Jordan) with a SIG-Sauer P228. In reality, Oscar Grant was shot with a SIG-Sauer P226 chambered in .40 S&W.
