The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean is a 1972 Western starring Paul Newman as the title character, an eccentric lawman who doled out his own unique brand of justice to a small Texas town. Although the real life Bean died in 1903, the opening title card mentions that this film was meant to tell his story the way he probably would want it to be told.
