In episode 7, Rust asks Marty what he's carrying, and he says ".38 hollow points."  The revolver, which looks like his earlier .44 mag 629, Is not, and has a non-fluted cylinder. It looks like a model 627 Lew Horton 8-shot model only produced in 1999 for S&W performance center.
