Striptease is a 1995 comedy-drama written and directed by Andrew Bergman. Based on the caper novel by Carl Hiaasen, the film stars Demi Moore as Erin Grant, a single mother working as an exotic dancer to pay for an expensive custody battle with her ex-husband (Robert Patrick). Grant's act also attracts the attention of a lecherous United States Congressman (Burt Reynolds).

Darrell Grant (Robert Patrick) steals a Smith & Wesson 5906 from his sister's trailer. Later, when he attempts to fire it at Malcolm Moldowsky (Paul Guilfoyle), nothing happens, and he tosses it away in disgust.

Nico (Antoni Corone), one of the guards aboard the yacht, carries a Smith & Wesson 5904.
