The [[M16_rifle_series#M4.2FM4A1_Carbine|M4A1 Carbine]] is wielded multiple times in the movie by Toorop and his enemies. Toorop can also be seen using an M4, distinguishable from the M4A1 by the fixed carry handle/rear sight.
Karl uses a [[M16_rifle_series#Colt_Carbine.2FModel_653.2FModel_727.2FModel_733|Colt Model 733]], as identified by its A1 upper receiver and short barrel, equipped with a Surefire flashlight, a laser pointer and a Reflex sight.
:Um, wouldn't it be easier to get an M4A1 instead of converting a M4? Plus, the M4 Toorop had during that shootout was full auto. And M4s come with removable handrails. ALL M4 series have removable handrails.

::You are incorrect sir, the very first delivery order of M4's did not have the flat top receiver with Picatinny rail like subsequent deliveries, So with the exception that it fires in full auto, the M4 Toorop uses is an early M4 and not a later M4 or M4A1.

The following guns were used in the movie Babylon A.D. Unrated and Uncut
This unknown pistol is seen sitting on Toorop's table. However, the size and shape of the magazine well and the extremely wide lanyard loop show that this firearm could be a modified Beretta 93R without grips.
Karl uses a Colt Model 733, as identified by its A1 upper receiver and short barrel, equipped with a Surefire flashlight, a laser pointer and a Reflex sight.
Possibly a modified Brügger & Thomet GL-06 is seen wielded by one of Gorsky's men during the final firefight. It fires a small missile that has a special tracking system.
The High Priestess uses a highly customized 1911 to kill Darquandier. It was revealed, the gun is a "WE Hi Capa 5.1 Full Metal Dragon (Type B) Black Model" Airsoft gun with blue LED lights in the grip. Movie fault!!- it should be noted that the hammer is down before she shoots Darquandier, incorrect for a 1911 which is traditionally single action only.
Although no pistol is named "hicapa", some competition shooting pistols made namely by SVI and Limcat are very similar to the "hicapa" used in the movie.
The right appeletation varies from model to model. The general term used is 2011 (derived from the evolution of a 1911). It is basically a double stacked 1911, allowing more than 7 bullets to be stored in the magazine, hence the nickname "hicapa". - There is also an airsoft company that sells this 1911 style weapon with the product name "Hi Capa" on the grip. I have one.
The specific hybrid slide setup is not uncommon for a precision shooting pistol, although it is usually only the top of the slide that is cut.
