The Ruger RedHawk is another commonly encountered firearm in the game Trespasser. It carries 6 rounds, and is using .44 Magnum rounds. Despite using the same round as the Desert Eagle .44 it is more powerful with much higher range at the cost of a slower firing speed and 2 less rounds over the Desert Eagle. It is often known as the 1 shot, 1 kill gun, as a single headshot is usually more than enough to drop a Raptor from either Tribe A or Tribe B but Tribe C Raptors, being unusually tough, are capable of sustaining 2 or 3 headshots from this weapon, usually only two headshots will suffice however. The weapon is often left for the more popular Desert Eagle as many players prefer the faster rate of fire, easy going recoil and the 8 round magazines as opposed to the Ruger's 6.

Jurassic Park: Trespasser

Unlike traditional games, Trespasser used alot of new things ahead of the times, it include moveable physics and attempted to incorporate a realistic aiming system. You can carry two firearms at a time, and must use the characters arm to aim the weapon with their iron sights of a chosen weapon to kill a potential target.

These are the Weapons used in the PC Video Game, Jurassic Park: Trespasser:

.357 Revolver (S&W Model 686)

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
S&W Model 686 with a Nickel Finish

Simply Called the .357 Revolver, is one of the few starting firearms in the beginning levels and is perhaps the most common to be found early on but slowly starts to fade to becoming harder to find in later levels. Made to look like the S&W Model 686 Revolver with a wooden grip and blued finish. Despite the power of the .357 Magnum round it is often one of the weaker pistols of the game, often taking 3-4 shots to the head to drop a single Raptor from either Raptor Tribe A or Raptor Tribe B. It is almost useless versus the Raptor's in Tribe C often taking an entire 6 rounds and still going!

IMI Desert Eagle .44

Desert Eagle

The Desert Eagle Pistol in .44 Calibre is featured in-game as the most prominent pistol and is perhaps labelled the best pistol in the game. This is due to the good power and range of the gun with a decent sized magazine of 8 rounds as well as being the most commonly encountered pistol in the games levels. This version is the Israeli Military Industries Version of the Desert Eagle Mark VII with a Nickel Finish as opposed to the more modern Israeli Weapon Industries Desert Eagle Mark XIX. The Desert Eagle .44 is capable of killing most Raptors in between 2 to 5 shots, with the rare occurrence of some Raptors (such as the Tribe C Raptors) taking 5 or 6 rounds to the head!

:They were right to feature this version of the Desert Eagle in game, contrary to popular belief the Desert Eagle is a poor weapon choice in today's modern theatre of combat and is primarily a sport and hunting pistol. Since the Story follows a few years after the Movie The Lost World: Jurassic Park it is safe to assume and is explained partially in the audio logs that is was one of the weapons used by the Hunting Parties.

Ruger RedHawk

Ruger RedHawk .44 Magnum

H&K VP-70

The H&K VP-70 pistol is one of the very few 9mm handguns used in the game but is said to be the first polymer pistol. It fires in 3 round bursts, which doesn't seem possible in the game, as the weapon does not feature the select fire stock holster, meaning the weapon is stuck in 3 round burst mode (need some confirmation on this one) and fires with an 18 round magazine totalling to around 6 bursts a pop. It's surprisingly obvious that the VP-70 is not as effective against most forms of Dino on Site B, often taking around 2 bursts or 6 shots to the head to a Tribe A Raptor or 9 or 12 shots or 3 to 4 bursts to a Tribe B Raptor. It is often labelled as the Weakest Handgun, even lower than the Beretta due to the smaller magazine.

Beretta M93R

The Beretta M93R is another 9mm pistol featured in the game, firing in 3 round bursts like the VP-70 but is often favoured more over the VP-70 due to the slightly larger magazine size of 20 rounds as opposed to 18. Unlike the VP-70 however, the Beretta is relatively in-accurate and is only useful at short range and it fires slower than the VP-70, as there is a noticeable pause between bursts. Much like the VP-70 it takes alot of rounds to down most Raptor's but most players find the Beretta easier to aim.

Tranquillizer Pistol

The Tranquillizer Pistol featured in the game is actually a Pardini Fiocchi .22 Calibre Pistol, re-purposed as a short range Tranquillizer Gun. It carries 6 round and has a noticeable pause between shots, it often takes two shots to stop a Raptor completely for a short time, if the raptor "Awakens" it will become more aggressive. Due to budget constraints in development however, the target merely stands there motionless but you can still take damage if touch the jaws of the Raptor.

Hammonds Revolver

Found in Hammonds Bedroom in Level 5 "The Town". This Snub Nosed .38 Revolver may be small but packs a punch, often killing either a Tribe A or Tribe B Raptor in a single hit. It resembles the S&W LadySmith Makes of revolver, possibly a Model 642 or 36 in .38 Calibre Special, it carries only 5 rounds and has a short range, it can be fired rather quickly however.

Calico MP50 (Calico M960

The Calico M960 appears in the game as the Calico MP50 in-game. It is labelled as one of the hardest weapons to aim but carries the largest number of rounds in any hand held weapon, 100 rounds in it's helical magazine. It is fully automatic but unlike the other 9mm handguns it does less damage, players are usually able to kill at least 4 or 5 Raptors with well placed bursts to the head but due to the iron sight or lack there of, it's often known to completely use up half of it's ammo on a single Raptor, the rate of fire doesn't help much either in the accuracy department. It is often one of the rarer guns available, often hidden in one of the many calico hiding spots.

H&K MP5K

The H&K MP5K is a Sub-Machine Gun featured in-game and comes in two distinct varieties. It carries 60 rounds a magazine and features a suppressed version. It's fully automatic with a decent range, take note that the Suppressed version does less damage and has nearly half the range of the un-suppressed version but makes it harder for enemies to find you. Both versions do less damage than the two 9mm burst handguns, but higher damage than the Calico. It is common in the early stages of the game but can be found later in large numbers in the later levels, most notably the suppressed version.

Ingram MAC10

The Ingram MAC10 is featured in-game as one of the fastest firing sub-machine gun's available. The MAC10 has horrid accuracy and very large muzzle climb when fired fully automatic, despite being in .45 ACP Calibre it does less damage than the HK MP5K and other 9mm handguns but is often the most commonly encountered SMG. It's often best used in close range, as a short burst is usually enough to finish off a Raptor from either Tribe A or B but C Raptors often take 2/3 or an entire magazine to kill one. The weapon carries 45 rounds a magazine, but is only loaded with 30 in the final level.

Franchi SPAS-12

One of the Shotguns encountered early on while slowly becoming rarer in the later levels. The SPAS 12 is perhaps the most iconic shotgun and most players prefer it, for it's power and ease of use not to mention it's relatively tight spread. A single shot is usually enough to drop a Raptor in a Single headshot, but Tribe C Raptors often take 2 or 3 shots before falling. It carries 8 rounds and has quite the kick when fired. In the last half of the final level, the SPAS 12 is found with only 4 shots as opposed to 8. It's likely placed in the game as a reference to the first movie Jurassic Park

Benelli M1 Super 90

Another shotgun featured in-game and is prominent in the game's later levels. While powerful much like the SPAS 12 it is harder to aim and has a wide spread than the SPAS 12 making it difficult to use over a distance and best at close range. It carries 7 shots and fires slower than the SPAS. Most players would often prefer using it as a club as opposed to an actual firearm, for the sheer dis-taste of the weapon in the game.

Browning High Power Hunting Rifle (BAR Safari)

The Browning BAR Safari Rifle is featured in-game as the Browning High Power Hunting Rifle. It is perhaps one of the more commonly encountered firearms in the game and is once mastered can be considered an all round gun. It can drop a Raptor from either Tribe A or Tribe B in a 1 or 2 headshots, but the Tribe C Raptors can sometimes take between 3-4 headshots to down. It carries 10 rounds and is hard to distinguish what calibre it is, it's presumed to be in .308 Calibre or .30-06 Springfield but most real to life Browning BAR Safari rifles carry only 4 rounds respectively.

M14

An M14 Rifle is featured as the most common semi-automatic rifle in the game. It carries 20 rounds and is usually able to down a Raptor from either Tribe A or Tribe B with 2 or 3 headshots, with rare occurrences of 4 or 5. Tribe C Raptors often take 6 or 7 shots before falling. The M14 carries 20 rounds and is both accurate, easy to aim and has moderate recoil. Some players often try to conserve the M14 ammo as much as possible, because most Raptors fall with only a few hits.

HK91

The HK91 is a rare rifle in Trespasser which is often only encountered in select parts of the game. It has every right to be rare, as it is one of the best rifles in the game. It carries 20 rounds a magazine, is the easiest rifle to aim and usually drops most Raptors in 2 or 3 shots, give or take, this includes Tribe C Raptors who are often quite tough to begin with. It seems to be mounted with an under barrel flashlight but is never used in-game.

Kalashnikov AK-47

The AK-47 rifle is featured in the game with the name "Kalashnikov" and comes in two variants. The first version has high recoil with a 40 round "Banana" magazine and decent damage, the second version features a heavier recoil with a 100 round drum magazine. Both are fully automatic but with light taps to the fire button, they can be fired in single shots for amazing accuracy. They are often effective on all variety's of Raptor but are mostly effective on Tribe C Raptors and the 100 round Drum version is effective versus the Albertosaurus but often you have the empty the entire 100 round magazine.

Tranquillizer Rifle

The famous Rifle from the Movie, returns in the game Trespasser. It comes in two versions, a regular version and a Enhanced version firing poison darts. Both versions feature a Reflex Sight and fire with a distinctive pause between shots with both carrying 5 darts a magazine. The regular version can stop a Raptor with a Single shot for 120 seconds as opposed to the Tranquillizer Pistol that stops them for only 60 seconds. The Toxic version, while very rare, kill targets with a single shot, often showering the screen with an over the top blood spray. It's mostly used against the Albertosaurus's in one of the game's later levels which features 3 in total.

Scoped Hunting Rifle

The Scoped Hunting Rifle (possibly a Marlin MR7 Rifle) is never found in the main game, but appears in the game's files and is used in one of the custom maps made for game, created by Trescom.org. It seem's to fire 7 rounds and features a magnifying scope for long range shots, it's hard to aim but can drop most dino's in a single shot.

Barret M82A1 .50 CAL

The M82A1 Barret .50 Calibre Anti-Material Rifle, is a mounted gun featured in the game Trespasser. It's incredibly hard to aim, most players find they have to move their body instead of the arm, the scope can has a static zoom over a distance and a single shot is capable of killing most raptors in a single hit. Sadly the weapon is extremely scarce and you don't get to use it that often unless your a really good shot.

Browning M1919A4 Machine Gun

The Browning M1919A4 Machine Gun, named as the Browning M2 or Ma Deuce in-game is a mounted Machine Gun seen mounted to various platforms in the game. The Browning is never found with a full magazine it's always found with half a magazine but fires 200 rounds, it's presumed to have a max capacity of 500, it does massive damage on a per shot basis but has massive recoil and is difficult to aim, like Barret most players have to move their body to aim and compensate for the recoil. It's effective on virtually anything but takes an entire magazine to kill a T-Rex, it's mostly used for Albertosaurus's and large numbers of Raptor's, there's usually no need to aim for the head as a quick burst from this will kill most Raptors in a short time frame.

Dino Prod

The famous "Dino Prod" Tazer used in the Movie. Extremely scarce and useless but stuns dino's for a few seconds. Is effective at short range.

Cattle Prod

Resembles a Diver's Spear gun, a Tazer that emits an electrical shock, stunning enemies for a short time. It has a longer reach than the Dino Prod.

P45

The P45 is a Colt 1911 Handgun found in the game files and can be found in the 2nd level of the game, if a player "noclips" outside of the level itself. When used it fires 7 shots and has variably effects when used. Sometimes, nothing will happen the gun will merely click empty, other times the weapon will fire but do no damage and other times the weapon will fire and kill a target instantly regardless of what they are (yes it will kill a T-Rex with a Single Shot, but this is rare) it's not found anywhere else in the game, presumeably it was left out due to bugs with the gun as it has a weird bug when aiming as the shots seem to veer off target drastically.
