The Last Ship is a 2014 television series adaptation of the 1988 William Brinkley novel of the same name. The series follows a group of scientists and the crew of a US Navy destroyer who find themselves under attack from opposing forces as they attempt to find a cure to a worldwide pandemic. The series, which is scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2014 in the US on the TNT network, was executive produced by Michael Bay.

M4 Carbine
US Navy sailors can be seen using M4A1 carbines fitted with EOTech red dot sights to defend themselves against Chinese PLA helicopters in Antarctica.
Phalanx CIWS
The US Navy destroyer USS Nathan James (in reality the USS Dewey) can be seen armed with Phalanx CIWS turrets, using them to shoot down at least one attacking PLA helicopter in Antarctica.
M240 Machine Gun
A MH-60S Knighthawk helicopter can be seen fitted with two door-mounted M240 machine guns. The trigger group isn't visible, but they appear to have heat shields over the barrels, so are likely the M240B model and not the M240D.
M136 AT4
During the PLA attack in Antarctica, another sailor can be seen using what appears to be an M136 AT4 to shoot down one of the attacking helicopters.
