It centers on a girl named Sveta (Oksana Akinshina) who's trying not to struggle with her half-sister Dina (Katya Gorina), who is a daughter of a gangster (Roman Ageev). When gangsters, trying to reach Dina's father by abducting girls, they flee and Sveta who is a sports shooter (she wants to be a sniper in Checnya, no less) makes use of her firearm and social skills to cover their tracks and survive.

The following weapons are seen in the movie Sisters (Syostry):

IZH-38

On the shooting range Sveta (Oksana Akinshina) uses IZH-38 with and without a scope a rather standard training air rifle, which is not only used in sports but also in school defense lessons all over the Post-Soviet territories. Other girls at a competition use IZH-38 with a scope and gangsters led by Jeep wrangler also can be seen firing them on the shooting range. Jeep wrangler himself (director Sergei Bodrov in cameo) can be seen with IZH-38 on one of the Russian posters of the movie.
