Wild Target is a 2010 British remake of the 1993 French film "Cible Emouvante" (starring Jean Rochefort). Bill Nighy stars as Victor Maynard, a world weary assassin, who has second thoughts about his assignment to eliminate a con artist, Rose (Emily Blunt) and he ends up being enamored by her free spirit and wild ways. Upon his refusal to carry out his assignment, Victor now must protect her from other hired guns who have been sent to finish the job. Meanwhile Victor, not having an heir and coming from a long line of assassins, tries to train an inept protege, Tony (Rupert Grint, better known as Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter films), and prepare him for the world of hired killers.
The following guns were used in the film Wild Target:
Beretta 92FS
A Beretta 92FS is used by Victor Maynard (Bill Nighy) in several hits. The pistol he uses has an extended barrel (sometimes) and an ornate laser/light attachment to the front rail. His mother (Eileen Atkins) calls the Beretta the "Prince of Pistols".
Heckler and Koch USP
Dixon (Martin Freeman) uses a suppressed Heckler and Koch USP as his sidearm throughout the movie.
Heckler and Koch P7M8
Used by Dixon's assistant Fabian (Geoff Bell) as his sidearm throughout the movie.
Smith & Wesson 686
Though at first glance it may resemble the Smith & Wesson Model 681 as used prominently in Snatch, this has adjustable rear sights and a different front sight, indicating that it is a Smith & Wesson Model 686.
Taurus PT92AFS
New model Taurus PT92AFS (Stainless with fixed rear sights) are seen used both by Ferguson's bodyguard Mike (Gregor Fisher) and Tony (Rupert Grint).
Mauser C96 "Broomhandle"
Rose (Emily Blunt) wields Victor's father's Mauser Broomhandle. Dixon (Martin Freeman) is also seen aiming the Mauser in the trailer.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Victor Maynard (Bill Nighy) uses an Heckler & Koch MP5A3 as his preferred 'sniper' weapon. Using a submachine gun as a sniping weapon is an unusual choice, since Submachine guns are built and designed specifically for CQB. If he wanted a 'sub rifle caliber' autoloading weapon, there are many other choices which would be more suitable.
Later in the film, he uses an MP5A5.
12 gauge Double-Barreled Shotgun
Victor's mother, Louisa Maynard (Eileen Atkins) uses and holds a double barreled shotgun, most likely one of the many boutique side by sides that are common in the U.K.
